Jockey G S Shekhawat (ASHWA SAMIRA) when questioned stated that his instructions were to be in 4th / 5th position but at the start his mount was slow and thereafter approaching 1000 metres, MISS MARMALADE (Riazuddin) lost position and came on to his mount whereby he had to check. He added that he had niggled throughout the race but the filly responded only towards the end of the race. Though not being fully satisfied with the explanation of the Jockey, he has been reprimanded for failing to make sufficient efforts during the race.

Trainer Rajinder (TOO GOOD) when questioned with regard to the change in pattern of his charge explained that earlier run was the first run of the season and was ridden by an Apprentice and also the horse was slowly away. Today with a better Jockey, the gelding was able to be in a good position. He added that today’s placing in the race was the genuine running pattern of this horse and he would race the gelding in a similar pattern. The explanation was noted.

Jockey R Rakesh (DIL MANGE MORE) was cautioned for travelling wide in the straight. A Veterinary examination of ASHWA SAMIRA revealed no apparent abnormality.
