At the start, TESORO (Abdul Fazal) drifted outwards for a few strides.

DARING (Narendra S. Rathore) was withdrawn before coming under starters order as the gelding was extremely fractious and refused to be loaded. Trainer Zulfiqar Khan was asked to give sufficient gate practice to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

Aditya Kr. Jaiswal (DARING EAGLE) was reprimanded for easing up his mount prematurely in the last 150 metres.

Jockey SG Prasad and Trainer Syed H Abbas were questioned regarding the running and riding of MASTER BECKET. The Instructions were to be take a good jump and if possible to go to the front but do not push too much since the pace could be fast due to CRESSIDA, be comfortable, improve gradually and ride out in the straight. The Jockey confirmed the instructions and added that the gelding did not respond to his urgings after the start and he had started to ride out his mount from 500 metres. He further added that if he had to push the gelding, then he would have even finished 3rd. he stated that the gelding has won all sort of distances from 1600 metres to 1200 metres. To another questioned, the Trainer stated that the gelding had won in Jan 2020. The Jockey stated that in Race no 14, over 1200 metres, where the gelding finished 3rd, he was able to push the gelding and he was able to sit up with the front runners as the gelding responded to his urgings, but this time the gelding did not respond. In Race no 13, the gelding was 2nd after the start without any effort from the Jockey and held on to finish 3rd. The Jockey stated that the gelding has won coming from behind. The Jockey was also informed that his riding effort in the straight was lacking. It was observed that the Jockey had sat for far too long in the race and that he should have started to ride out much before that he actually did. Not being entirely satisfied with the explanation of the Jockey, he has been cautioned.
