Racing Incidents
MINT ROYAL (A Velu) sustained a cut injury on right hind pastern. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey A Velu the rider of MINT ROYAL for violation of Rule No.101 of the BTC Rules of Racing in that Jockey A Velu indulged in misconduct whereby he attempted to weigh `out` by presenting a substandard body protector. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey A Velu. After deliberations, they decided to suspend the Jockey`s Licence granted to Jockey A Velu from 31.5.2008 to 8.6.2008 (both days inclusive) for misconduct pertaining to the weigh `out` along with a substandard body protector in the above race (Rule No.101).
