Racing Incidents
Trainer Mr. Dinesh Pujar was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours in respect of his charge, MAXIMUM CITY (Vijay Kumar). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours in respect of his charge, SUN ZONE (Gaurav Sapra). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used.
Jockey B Mahesh the rider of RIVER RULE was fined Rs.2,000/- for the negligence pertaining to weighing 'in'.
Trainer Mr. Rakesh was questioned regarding the running of his charge, KHWAISH (Vinod Shinde). The Trainer stated that (a) this horse had a tendency of not passing the other runners as he could observe during the earlier runs during the track work; (b) he, therefore, sought permission for use of blinkers; (c) in view of the above, he had specifically instructed the rider to go to the front and after rounding the final bend, to go further and to do his best and win the race; (d) in view of its behavior, he had no option than to run the horse in such a manner; (e) he had very high hopes on the horse and was also contemplating to run it in the Classic / Sweepstakes Races during the Bangalore Summer Races 2011; (f) In the circumstances, he was satisfied with the riding of his charge by Jockey Vinod Shinde and he further added that the horse would be instructed to be ridden in a similar fashion in future until its behavior improved. His explanations were noted.
