Racing Incidents
Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Rakesh to withdraw ON CALL (Md. Sameer) on veterinary grounds as it was trotting lame on right hind. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was fined Rs.500/- for failing to produce the declared colours at the scales in respect of his charge, CATIONIC (B Sreekanth). Subsequently, All Black emergency colours were permitted to be used. WINNING DESIRE (A Ashhad Asbar) planted and many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a Race Day on the race track. The Stewards have ordered an enquiry into the running and riding of IRON MARSHALL Trained by Mr.M.Eshwar and Ridden by Jockey J.H.Christopher in the above race. Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. SECRET FURY. The Stipendiary Stewards reported trainer Mr. B.K.Narendra to the Stewards for not running his charge PARTY TONITE on its merits (Rule No.159(a) and Jockey Khurshad Alam for not permitting his mount PARTY TONITE to run on its merits (Rule No.159(a) & (b)) in the above said race. The Stewards held an enquiry on 29-12-2010, 5-1-2011, 15-5-2011 and 1-6-2011. They examined trainer Mr. B.K.Narendra, and Jockey Khurshad Alam. Considering the evidence tendered by them, viewing the CCTV replay of the race and acting on their own observation of the running of the race, the Stewards decided to (a) suspend the trainer's licence granted to trainer Mr. B.K.Narendra from 16-6-2011 to 3-8-2011 and refer him to the Stewards of BTC Ltd., for further action, for not running his charge PARTY TONITE on its merits (Rule No.159(a) of the BTC Rules of Racing) in the above said race and (b) suspend the Jockey's licence granted to Jockey Khurshad Alam from 16-6-2011 to 3-8-2011 and refer him to the Stewards of BTC Ltd., for further action, not to permit him to ride work during the period of suspension for not permitting his mount PARTY TONITE to run on its merits (Rule No.159(a) & (b) of BTC Rules of Racing) in the above said race.
