Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Bipin V Salvi to withdraw SPURT (T Bernard) on veterinary grounds as it was suffering from colic. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
GALAXY (N Rajesh) jumped awkwardly inwards and inconvenienced HEARTOFTHEOCEAN (Gaurav Sapra) on its outside, soon after the start.
ARISTON (S Mubarak), after jumping, swerved to the left and took no part in the race. In view of its continued unpredictable behavior, Trainer Mr. Z Darashah was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behavior improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in two Mock Races on Race Day/s on the race track. Jockey Mohammed Shoaib the rider of HIGH TREASON was fined Rs.2,000/- for not maintaining a straight course in the final 200 Metres of the race. It was reported after the race that HIGH TREASON (Mohammed Shoaib) had apparently lost its right fore shoe during the race. Jockey Afsar Khan the rider of LAKE OF FORTUNE, placed Second by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey Mohammed Shoaib, the rider of HIGH TREASON, placed First by the Judge, for in the last 300 Metres, the winner drifted out and bored me and cut across me in the last 150 Metres, whereby I had to check my mount, which cost me a certain race. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and examined the Jockeys Afsar Khan and Mohammed Shoaib. After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection. Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b.g. HIGH TREASON. |
