Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan to substitute Jockey Melvyn Maseyk, to ride BLUE GUM in place of the declared rider Jockey S. Ramesh.

It was observed that ALWAYS A STAR (A. Vishwanath) had apparently splayed its left hind shoe on the way to the starting gates, as such the right hind shoe also had to be removed. On immediate examination by the Clubs Veterinary Officer it was found to be not trotting sound. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starters orders.

SMILETOVICTORY (N. Rajesh) was extremely fractious and refused to be stalled. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starters orders.

Jockey S. Mubarak, the rider of BAFFLED, was fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in and causing interference to BLUE GUM (Melvyn Maseyk) on his inside and ALLEGRO (Vivek) which was travelling directly behind also had to be checked by its rider to avoid striking the front runner. 

Jockey M. Madhu Babu, the rider of VICTORY SIGNAL, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.

BLUE GUM (Melvyn Maseyk) sustained injury on both fore outer cannon.
