As Jockey H G Rathod, the declared rider of HAPPINESS, was certified medically unfit to ride after his ride in the 4^th Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde to substitute Jockey Afsar Khan to ride HAPPINESS in place of the declared rider.

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan to substitute Jockey Noorulla to ride TORNADO FORCE in place of the declared rider.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Pratap Kamath to withdraw BOSTON RANGER (C Henrique) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be suffering from urticaria. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Clubs Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

BEHRAM (S John) was examined at the Starting Gates by the Clubs Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starters Order. Trainer Mr. Z. Darashah was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Clubs Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
