Jockey S John, the rider of GUIDED MISSILE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (first infringement). 

 

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of BEHRAM, was reprimanded for shifting ‘out’ and inconveniencing SCIMITAR (R Vaideeshwaran) on his inside, passing the 100 Metres. 

 

Trainer Mr. G T Surender was questioned regarding the relatively poor performance of his charge, b.m. EMERALD (S. Shiva Kumar), in the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No.50 of the Mysore Summer Races 2012, i.e., The Loyal Prince Plate (About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 40 to 65, run on 27th June, 2012, when ridden by the same rider, it finished Second. The Trainer stated that (a) he ran it over 1800 Metres last time; (b) subsequently, he has been working it regularly as it was a five year old horse, which came from Bangalore and in his opinion, it required regular workouts; (c) within two weeks’ time, again, he ran it over a mile, but was thoroughly disappointed at its performance and (d) in hind sight, he felt that the horse might not have reached the regular workout after running over a distance of 1800 

 

Metres last time.  Mr. G T Surender was informed that his explanations were not very satisfactory, but, however, he was being given the benefit of doubt at this instance and was cautioned to maintain consistency in the running and performance of his charges in future. 

 

DARE DON (B V Krishnan) sustained cut injury on left fore inside knee.
