Racing Incidents
ASTERIX (Afsar Khan) was slowly away and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a Race Day on the race track. NOUGHTSANDCROSSES (G Y Rajesh Babu) stumbled, approaching the 700 Metres. Jockey A Vishwanath, the rider of LEATHER QUEEN, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting ‘in’ and causing interference to MR HURRICANE (P Kiran Rai) on his inside, passing the 300 Metres. Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu, the rider of NOUGHTSANDCROSSES, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting ‘out’ and causing interference to ASTERIX (Afsar Khan) on his outside, passing the 150 Metres. Jockey S Chandrashekar, the rider of VERTEX, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race (first infringement). Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of BEJEWELLED BEAUTY, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race (first infringement). An enquiry is being held into the excessive use of the whip by Jockey G Y Rajesh Babu on his mount, NOUGHTSANDCROSSES, in the above Race (third infringement). LEATHER QUEEN (A Vishwanath) sustained cut on left fore fetlock. It was reported after the Race that QUEENS CRUISE (Fr’co F Da Silva) burst its blood vessels.
