REBECCA (Md. Sameer) accidentally struck the false rails, approaching the 900 Metres, whereby the right stirrup broke and as such, the rider had to remove his left leg also from the stirrup, approaching the 500 Metres and hence could not offer much assistance to his mount thereafter.

Trainer Mr. S S Attaollahi and Jockey P S Chouhan were questioned regarding the running and riding of ABSOLUTE MAJORITY. The trainer stated that (a) as Jockey P.S. Chouhan had won on it in its previous start, he did not give any specific instructions excepting informing the rider that  it needs to be covered up during the early stages of the race and not to be shown the day light; (b) to make his run from the outside and do his best in the straight; (c) he observed that his charge did not get a clear run as it was put in a legitimate pocket by the ultimate winner from about 900 Metres to about 200 Metres; (d) His charge got an opening only after passing the 200 Metres and was ridden out but by that time the race was over;  and (e) He added that similar riding instructions would be imparted in future also. The rider when questioned, corroborated the above statement of the Trainer and added that had he got a opening earlier he might have won the race.  While noting their explanations, Jockey P.S. Chouhan was informed that he was being given the benefit of a doubt at this instance and was cautioned to be more judicious in the handling of his mounts  in future. 

BRYANT PARK (Indar Jeet Singh) sustained bruises on right hock.

FREE LAW (S K Paswan), upon examination of mouth revealed mouth ulcers.

SMOOTH GLIDER (Arshad Alam) sustained deep clipped injury on right hind fetlock.
