Trainer Mr. Vikram Appachu was fined Rs.1,000/- for not using Tongue Strap on his charge, ACE HIGH (J Paswan), for the use of which prior permission had already been obtained. Subsequently, Tongue Strap was put before the horse left the Paddock.

 

GAYLE'S STORM (Shivnath Paswan), planted and lost many lengths at the start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Rakesh was informed that he must not accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in one Mock Race on a Race Day on the race track. 

 

Jockey Md. Sameer, the rider of BLACK DRAGON, was reprimanded for dropping hands before passing the Winning Post.

 

Jockey Vijay Kumar, the rider of ENDURING SPEED, was fined Rs.2,000/- for exulting before passing the Winning Post.

Trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa and Jockey S. John were questioned regarding the running and riding of GALAXY QUEEN in the above race.  The Trainer stated that (a) he told the Jockey to take a good jump and sit 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th position and be up in the field as the horse has the habit of drifting out; (b) he had told the Jockey to control his mount and ride her out in the straight; (c) He also stated that this horse had worked very well and she had beaten the best horse in his stable during work out; (d) he stated that this horse had the habit of drifting out in the straight and the saddle had shifted once or twice in the small season and that is the reason he used breast belt on her and she won the race; and (e) the way it had performed and considering the present set he thought that she would win and because of that he chose to go with a good rider. The Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and stated that he did his best to ride out his mount from the word ‘go’. He stated that he was all the way pushing her and by the time she came up to the field, the field was covered up and he did not get anything out of her. He also stated that she changed her legs 2 to 3 times as she was tired. Trainer Mr. C.D. Monnappa was informed to keep the horse for further veterinary observation.
