Trainer Mr. T Natraj was fined Rs.10,000/- for having accepted his charge, SKYFLEET, in the above Race without producing the Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer when he had been specifically advised to do so. Subsequently, it was withdrawn from the above Race.

Soon after jumping out of the starting gate and within 100 Metres of the start, Jockey Sarvan Kumar, the rider of THE ALCHEMIST (drawn 11), came in very sharply cutting across the field causing very severe interference to the horses on his inside viz. REAL POTENTIAL (Mohd. Sameer), SIENA (J.H. Christopher), QUEENS COLOUR (Nassar Alam), VRAJANANDAN (Shivnath Paswan), GUAPO (V.R. Jagadeesh), SILVER SPARKLER (Ajeet Kumar), BLACK DRAGON (Irvan Singh), GAYLE’S STORM (M.A. Roushan) and MOUNTAIN GLORY (A.R. Pradeep), as a result of which each horse suffered severe interference of different nature; as a result of the collision, the rider of BLACK DRAGON (Irvan Singh) and MOUNTAIN GLORY (A.R. Pradeep) were dislodged from their respective mounts and both the horses ran riderless.  Thus in effect out of the 11 runners in the race, 9 horses suffered interference of varied nature. The Stewards at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards immediately ordered and held an enquiry into the running of the race with particular reference to the above said interferences.  They examined all the above said Jockeys. After repeatedly viewing the CCTV replay of the race, acting on their observation of the running of the race and also considering that the series of interferences, had adversely affected the fair running of the above race and after due deliberations and by virtue of powers conferred under the Rules of Racing, they decided to declare the race “Null and Void”. Nevertheless they decided to continue the enquiry pertaining to the manner riding of Jockey Sarvan Kumar on his mount THE ALCHEMIST in the above race.
