Jockey Keanen G Steyn, the rider of SCHOLAR, reported that his saddle shifted after entering the straight, whereby he could not offer  assistance to his mount. After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. Rakesh [deputizing for Trainer Mr. Vishal Yadav] was fined Rs.3,000/- for his negligence pertaining to the saddling of his charge.

Jockey M Madhu Babu, the rider of SECRET HUNTER, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not persevering with his mount during the race.

Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa and Jockey Imran Chisty were questioned regarding the running and riding of RISING ROMEO. The Trainer stated that his instructions were (a) to keep his charge in the third or fourth position as this horse has a tendency of packing up fast; (b) this horse had earlier won two Races over shorter distances; (c) this horse has turned out some good workout when ridden by the Riding Boys and the Stable Jockey A Vishwanath; and (d) based on that, he fancied this horse, but, added that, he never expected his charge to open as a first favourite. The Jockey, when questioned, corroborated the statement of the Trainer as regards the riding instructions and added that he preserved it till the final bend and when he asked for acceleration, the horse packed up to finish in the rear. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. At around 5.30 pm on the Race Day, the Club's Veterinary Officer reported that the horse had suffered from Epistaxis (Endoscopy - 2^nd grade EIPH). Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
