Racing Incidents

AJ ONE (P S Chouhan) jumped awkwardly 'outwards', thereby inconveniencing NOUGHTSANDCROSSES (Janardhan Paswan), soon after the start.

Jockey P S Chouhan, the rider of AJ ONE, was questioned as to the handling of his mount especially at the closing stages of the Race. The rider stated that (a) his mount jumped awkwardly outwards, thereby losing some ground at the start; (b) he gradually improved and obtained a good position thereafter;(c) after rounding the final bend, he improved and took over the running; (d) in the final stages of the race, his mount was too tired as he was at it throughout the race; (e) at the last 2 or 3 strides, it did not give him that much of leverage to stretch his arms;and (f) he rode out to the best of his ability but lost the race narrowly. While noting his explanations, he was informed to be more judicious in future.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g ARUN.
