Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Eshwer to withdraw SLYLISH CHARMER (Nitin Singh) on veterinary grounds as it was observed to be walking lame on right hind due to inflammation of hock. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
 
GREEN EMERALD (M Kumar) jumped awkwardly outwards, thereby inconveniencing LOVEMETRUE (M Madhu Babu), on its outside, at the start.
 
LOVEMETRUE (M Madhu Babu) ran detached from the field ,rounding the final bend and after entering the straight. Trainer Mr. R Mallikarjun was infromed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
 
Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of IRIDIUM, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the Race [second infringement].
 
Trainer Mr. S Santosh Rao was questioned regarding the relatively improved performance of his charge GREEN EMERALD (M Kumar), the winner of this Race, when compared to its previous run in Race No. 95, The Formal Invitation Plate Div - II (About) 1400 Metres for horses rated 20 to 45, run on 29th January 2015, when ridden by the same rider, it ran unplaced. The Trainer stated that;

a) This horse took an awkward jump in its previous run, thereby losing few lengths at the start;

b) despite the best efforts by its rider to improve its position and having ridden out in the straight, it could only finish a decent 7th, about six lengths behind the winner;

c) The horse was advised a Gate Jump Out, and he chose to give it a jump out by removing the “Hood”, which proved to be not of much assistance as the horse fared poorly in that Gate Jump Out;

d) However, he chose to give it another Gate Jump Out by removing the “Tongue Strap” and “Basket Bit” and the horse performed extremely well during the second gate practice;

e) He had given it 3 weeks gap from its previous run, chose to run it in the above Race which was a race for lower category horses, ie., 00 to 25 and the horse came out and won the Race. His explanations were noted.
