As Jockey Suraj Narredu, the declared rider of EXCELERATE, was certified medically unfit to ride, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. M Eshwer to substitute Jockey S Zervan to ride EXCELERATE in place of the declared rider.

ALWAYS RESOLUTE (Nirmal Jodha) jumped out awkwardly from the gates, thereby losing few lengths at the start. EYE OF THE NEEDLE (Sahanawaz) sustained multiple cuts inside right hind pastern.

FLAMING SPEAR (K Mukesh Kumar) sustained gum injury.
