Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of SOFAST, placed Second by the Judge, lodged an objection against Jockey V R Jagdeesh, the rider of ABSOLUTE BRAVE, placed First by the Judge, for 'passing the 300 Metres, the winner started shifting out and took my ground considerably when I was full of running and after that, again, shifted course and drifted violently inside further taking my ground and that cost me a certain race'. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the Race and examined the Jockeys concerned; After deliberations, they decided to overrule the objection.

Jockey V R Jagdeesh, the rider of ABSOLUTE BRAVE, was fined Rs.3,000/- for not maintaining a straight course during the closing stages of the Race.

An enquiry is being held into the inconsistent pattern of running and improved performance of ABSOLUTE BRAVE (V R Jagdeesh, trained by MR. C Girinath), the winner of this Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 22, of the Mysore Summer Races 2016, i.e., The Chevalier Trophy – (About) 1600 Metres for horses rated 60 and above, run on Third Day, Wednesday, 8th June 2016,  when ridden by Jockey S R Santosh Kumar, it ran unplaced.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b g ABSOLUTE BRAVE.
