Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa and Jockey S John were questioned regarding the poor performance of GREEN MEADOW; The Trainer stated that (a) In its last Race, it ran in an exalted company along with the Bengaluru based horses in a Million Race; (b) subsequently, the horse had worked well based on which, he expected this horse to perform well in this Race and that is why, he opted to declare Jockey S John to ride his charge in the above Race; (c) however, he was thoroughly disappointed at its poor performance and he was contemplating to have the horse scoped after the last Race so as to treat for any ailment; Jockey S John, when questioned, stated that right from the word go, the horse never showed any response and ran a very poor Race; The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and was reported to be tied up and suffered from Muscle Cramps on the hind quarters. However, endoscopic examination revealed no abnormality. While noting their explanations, Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed to produce a fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer, to ensure better performance of his charge in future and not to accept with it again until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One Jump Out on a Starting Gate Practice Day.

An enquiry is being held into the excessive use of whip by Jockey P Kiran Rai, the rider of MALKIA, in the above Race [Third infringement]

AS ALWAYS (Md. Farhan Alam) sustained cut injury on right hind inside pastern.
