Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Feroz M Khan to substitute Jockey Saddam Hussain to ride ASCENDENCY in place of Jockey A Ashhad Asbar, the declared rider.

In a closely packed field, PRECIOUS ASSET (Anil Baandal), running fiercely behind HERE'S ABBY (V R Jagdeesh), clipped the frontrunner and fell, dislodging its rider, passing the 1000 Metres; As a result of which, MARKUS SITTIKUS (M Rajesh Kumar), which was galloping directly behind, struck it and stumbled, momentarily unbalancing the rider; As a result of the fall, the riders of LUCKY EMERALD (G Sai Vamshi) and COOL DUDE (Ajeet Kumar), which were galloping directly behind, had to check their respective mounts and fall back.

Jockey Ajeet Kumar, the rider of COOL DUDE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for coming 'in' and causing interference to LUCKY EMERALD (G Sai Vamshi) on his inside, passing the 800 Metres.

Jockey Keanen G Steyn, the rider of SARDINIA, was fined Rs.2,000/- for allowing his mount to drift 'out' with the improper use of the whip in the last 50 Metres of the Race.

Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of SYNERGY DANCER, reported that his mount was not galloping fluently in the straight; The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but, no abnormality was reported.

BEAUTY ICON (Arshad Alam) ran detached from the field. Trainer Mr. G T Surender was informed to ensure better performance of his charge in future.
