Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. J Sharavanan to substitute Jockey J Paswan to ride ARCHIMEDES in place of Jockey S Manohar, the declared rider.

ACCURACY (S John) took a fly jump, thereby inconveniencing WATERFALL (P P Dhebe) on its outside, at the start.

SWISS ADMIRAL (S R Santosh Kumar) accidentally brushed the Railings, approaching the 1000 Metres.

PARIS CALLING (Amyn Merchant) had to be checked and steadied by its rider to avoid striking the front runners, approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey Shivnath Paswan, the rider of RUN TO WIN, was reprimanded for travelling wide, rounding the final bend, for no apparent reason, whereby, he took out HEAVEN AND EARTH (Arshad Alam) on his outside.

Jockey P P Dhebe, the rider of WATERFALL, reported that he could not get a clear run from the 400 Metres till about 200 Metres, due to a tightly packed field.

Jockey S John, the rider of ACCURACY, reported that he accidentally dropped the whip, passing the 300 Metres.

SCORPENE (M Rajesh Kumar) sustained bruise above left hock.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from the winner, b m OCEANA.

The Stewards of the Mysore Race Club Ltd., considered the analytical report received from The National Dope Testing Laboratory, New Delhi, pertaining to the analysis of the urine sample taken from b m OCEANA (Trained by Mr. C Girinath) which had shown the presence of OXYPHENBUTAZONE – a Prohibited Substance – the sample of which was taken after the said horse won the above race.

The Stewards noted the following:

The Trainer was informed of this and was given the option of sending the split sample of the urine of the said horse for confirmatory analysis.

The Trainer vide his letter dated 17^th February, 2018 has informed the Club that he did not wish to send the “B” Sample for Confirmatory analysis.

Therefore the Stewards decided to disqualify the horse from the above race and revised the order of the placing as under:
