STAR PORTAL was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds, lame on right fore due to a kick from another horse during morning track work on 15th May 2019. Trainer G.S.Parmar was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. OXYGEN (A.Ayaz Khan) was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds, trotting lame due to oedema of the metacarpal area. Trainer Fazal-Ul-Rehman was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again. DRUID'S BREW (Ashhad Asbar) was permitted to be withdrawn due to jockey Ashhad Asbar being indisposed and no suitable replacement jockey being available. Permission was granted to Trainer Fazal-Ul-Rehman to saddle SENTOSA (Azfar Syeed) on behalf of Trainer Akbar Malick at both Trainers risk and liability. Jockey Rohit Kumar being indisposed he was permitted to be substituted by Jockey Shahar Babu on LADY ELISE. An objection was lodged by Jockey P.Sai Kumar the rider of DESERT HAWK placed 3rd by the judge against Jockey Azfar Syeed the rider of SENTOSA the winner for “cutting across me sharply at about the 250 meters taking my ground whereby i had to check my mount and stop riding which cost me a certain race” was overruled by the Stewards and the judge's placings remained unaltered. Post the 4th Race the Jockeys reported to the Stewards that they did not wish to ride in the remaining races citing the 800 metres passage being very soft and was not conducive for racing. The Stewards deliberated and resolved to run the remaining three races with 6 Apprentice Jockeys and to withdraw 4 horses out of the 10 horse fields by ballot in all three remaining races of the day and further resolved to allot mounts to apprentice jockeys for the remaining three races via draw in presence of trainers. Due to the above Races were delayed by an hour and 15 minutes during which time the 800 metres passage was worked upon to make it conducive for racing. |
