Racing Incidents

PRIDE OF CHENNAI (P.Ajeeth Kumar) was permitted to be withdrawn due to non availability of a replacement Jockey for P.Ajeeth Kumar who was indisposed.

FLAME OF DIABLO (A.Imran Khan) jumped awkwardly in and drifted wide out negotiating the 800 metres bend.

Trainer G.S.Parmar was fined a sum of Rs.3,000/- for parading his charge DANCING BELINDA (N.Murugan)  without a Tongue Strap in the Paddock. The Tongue Strap was subsequently put on before the gelding left the Paddock.

Trainer G.S.Parmar was questioned regarding the improved performance of RIVER BEND (C.Umesh) winner of the race as compared to its last run in Race No.21 where it was not on board. When questioned Trainer stated that the previous run was the first run of the colt under his charge and that in the previous run his charge was leading up till the 300 metres and then had dropped back, therefore he gave over a month’s time in between runs wherein his charge’s condition improved a lot and he was working well.The explanation tendered by the Trainer was noted.

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of BE MY LIGHT ridden by Jockey C.A.Brisson and trained by Mr. G.S.Parmar.
