Racing Incidents
Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was warned for late arrival of his charge ABSOLUTE LIGHTNING thereby delaying the proceedings of the race. The Trainer was advised to ensure that his charges arrive on time in future. At the request of Jockey R Shelar, ABSOLUTE LIGHTNING was examined by the Veterinary Officer at the starting gates and found to be lame on right fore. Under the circumstances the gelding was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds. Tr. Vikash Jaiswal was advised not to accept with his charge until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer. LAHINA was very difficult to load. Tr. Sabeel Shariff was advised to give his charge adequate gate practice before accepting with it again. INTENSE BELIEF was slow to begin.

MACCHIATO was slow to begin. BLUE CHIP was observed to drop back rapidly from about the 700 metres. Veterinary examination revealed that the right knee of the horse was fractured. As the horse was in pain and agony, it was euthanized on humanitarian grounds. App Ankush (RHAPSODY IN GREEN) was fined a sum of Rs. 2,000/- for tightening MULTISTARRER on his inside passing the 450 metres.

At the conclusion of the enquiry Jockey Arman Khan was fined a sum of Rs. 10,000/- for unsatisfactory riding of his mount in that he failed to ride out his mount to complete advantage in the final 400 metres. Tr. Rutherford Alford was advised to ensure that his charges are run and ridden in such a manner that leaves no room for query. The Veterinary Officer reported that BLACK COFFEE and SEA OF CHARM returned lame on their respective right fores. Trs. Rutherford Alford and B Rajender Reddy were informed not to accept with respective charges until certified fit by the Veterinary Officer.
