ONLY HOPE (M Naveen) planted, swerved to the left after jump out and lost many lengths at the Start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed that he must not accept with it until its behaviour improves to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One Mock Race, on a Race Day, on the Race Track.

TIME ALWAYS (Shamaz Shareef) reared up as the gates opened.

VELVET ROSE (P Kiran Rai), jumped out awkwardly and as such, the rider collided with the frames of the Gates, was totally unbalanced and was dislodged from his mount and thereafter, the horse ran rider-less. As the incident was purely accidental, no action was taken besides noting the incident. Jockey P Kiran Rai was informed to be more alert, at the Start, in future. 

ONLY HOPE (M Naveen) sustained injury on inside of the left hind pastern.

Surprise sample was taken for analysis from the winner, dk b m CELESTAR.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md Sajid Qureshi to withdraw his charge, VIRGINIA QUEEN (S Imran) on veterinary grounds, from the above Race, as it was observed to be trotting lame on right fore due to hoof abscess. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer, before accepting with it again. 

Trainer Mr. J Sharavanan was fined Rs.5,000/- for discrepancies in shoeing, in respect of his charge, STAR HOLIDAY (Ajeet Kumar), in the above Race [First Infringement]. 

It was observed that BIRTHDAY BABE (Chotu Jaiswar) was inclined to run out, rounding the final bend and in the Straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. M Bobby was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

It was observed that BREAKING NEWS (K Raghu) was drifting out under pressure, after entering the Straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but as the mare was extremely fractious, the mouth examination was abandoned.

It was reported after the Race that BANZAI (R N Darshan) was lame on right fore. Trainer Mr. C D Monnappa was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer, before accepting with it again. 

Trainer Mr. C Girinath was questioned by the Stipendiary Stewards as to the vastly improved performance of BREAKING NEWS (K Raghu), the winner of the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 17 of the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., The Sakaleshpur Plate – Div.II, (About) 1200 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, No Whip, run on Wednesday, 27th November, 2019, when ridden by Jockey M J Gautam Raj Urs, it ran unplaced. The Trainer stated as follows; a) This horse had come under his charge very recently and that this was its first run under him; b) He had rested the horse well, it was fed well and was also working well, showing improvement during this period; c) He was running in this Race after a gap of forty two days; d) He had thought that his charge may just run on board as he had not fancied its chances, but his charge came out and won. While noting his explanations, he was informed to be more judicious in the running of his charges in future.

Routine sample was taken for analysis from he winner, dk b m BREAKING NEWS. 

KAGUYA HIMEI (R Ajay Kumar) was very fractious inside the Starting Stall, reared up and got cast, inside the Gates. Under the circumstances, it was withdrawn before coming under Starter's order.

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of ANTEROS, was reprimanded for repeatedly changing course, in the Straight, for no apparent reason.

Jockey R N Darshan, the rider of PREMIER ACE, reported that his mount was hanging “out” throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

It was observed that PIKACHU (V R Jagdeesh) was hanging “out” after entering the Straight. Trainer Mr. S M Johnson was informed to take appropriate corrective measures before accepting with it again.

Jockey Irvan Singh, was questioned as to his riding on his mount ANTEROS, in the above Race. The rider stated that his mount was not showing any initial speed, was also not galloping fluently and despite his efforts, did not improve position, in the back stretch. It was only in the Straight that it started to respond to his urgings and ran on well to finish second. While noting his explanations, he was informed to be more judicious while riding his mounts, in future. 

An enquiry is being held into the vastly improved performance of MOMOTARO (Chethan Gowda, trained by Mr. Rakesh), the winner of the above Race, as compared to its previous run in Race No. 54 of the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., The Varuna Plate (About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Eighth Day, Tuesday, 31st December, 2019, when ridden by Jockey C Umesh, it ran unplaced.

The Stipendiary Stewards reported Trainer Mr. Rakesh to the Stewards, vide Charge Sheet No. 254, dated 11th January, 2020, for breach of Rule No. 114 (b)(i) of the My.R.C. Ltd., Rules of Racing [negligence in the discharge of his duties as a licensed Trainer], “in that, as the Trainer of MOMOTARO,for the vastly improved performance of his charge MOMOTARO, the winner of the above Race as compared to its previous run in Race No. 54 of the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., The Varuna Plate – (About) 1800 Metres, for horses rated 20 to 45, run on Eighth Day, Tuesday, 31st December, 2019, when ridden by Jockey C Umesh, it ran unplaced as also, in all its previous runs, during the Mysore Winter Races 2019-20, i.e., Race Nos. 31, 24 and 15, where it ran unplaced”. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last Race on Wednesday, 22nd January, 2020, and examined Trainer Mr. Rakesh. After due enquiry, they decided as follows; a) Should Trainer Mr. Rakesh be granted a Trainer's license to train under the Mysore Race Club Limited Rules of Racing, for the year 2020-21, the same shall remain suspended from 20-05-2020 to 24-06-2020 [both days inclusive]; and b) to fine him a sum of Rs.30,000/-(Rupees Thirty Thousand only), for breach of Rule No. 114 (b)(i) of the My.R.C. Ltd., Rules of Racing [negligence in the discharge of his duties as a licensed Trainer], pertaining to his charge MOMOTARO, in the above Race. He was informed of his right to appeal.

Jockey R Manish, the rider of NOTTING HILL, was fined Rs.2,000/- for not making sufficient effort to improve his position throughout the Race. He was cautioned that a repetition of a similar manner of riding would entail him being reported to the Stewards for appropriate action.

Jockey R Shelar, the rider of HELLS BELLS, reported that his mount was hanging “out” throughout the Race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer, Mr. S M Johnson was informed to take appropriate corrective measures, before accepting with it again.

ARAK (Shivnath Paswan) was slowly away and lost few lengths at the Start. In view of its behaviour, Trainer Mr. P C Tejaswi was informed that he must not accept with it until its behaviour improves to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in One Jump Out, on a Starting Gate Practice Day.

VENI VIDI VICI (T S Jodha) stumbled, soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

Jockey Mukesh Kumar, the rider of STAND OUT, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting “in' and causing interference to KIR ROYALE (Arshad Alam), on his inside, which went onto VENI VIDI VICI (T S Jodha) on its inside, before passing the Red Marker Post.

It was observed during the Race that LEAP OF FAITH (Sameer Qureshi) did not get a clear run, between the 400 Metres and the 250 Metres, due to a tightly packed field.

It was reported after the Race that ASCENDENCY (R N Darshan) had apparently lost its left fore shoe, during the Race.

WAR HERO (S Imran) accidentally brushed the Railings, approaching the 1000 Metres.

Jockey Ajeet Kumar, the rider of ALL IN, was reprimanded for shifting “in” and inconveniencing EL TYCOON (K Sai Kiran), on his inside, passing the 800 Metres.

STORMY ATLANTIC (Shamaz Shareef) was running erratically, in the last 250 Metres of the Race. 

It was reported after the Race that WAR HERO (S Imran) burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Md Sajid Qureshi was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer, before accepting with it again.

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Ranjeet Shinde to withdraw his charge, MERCURY (Y S Srinath) on veterinary grounds, from the above Race, as it was observed to be trotting lame on right fore due to hoof abscess. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer, before accepting with it again.

ROYSTON ROCK (Rahil Ahktar) jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced GREAT CELEBRATION (Imran Chisty), on its outside, at the Start.

Jockey Md. Imran Ashraf, the rider of OCTAVIUS, was reprimanded for shifting “in and inconveniencing GREAT CELEBRATION (Imran Chisty), on his inside, at the Start.

KAZURI (K Sai Kiran) accidentally brushed the Railings, passing the 1200 Metres.

It was observed during the Race that SPRIRTUAL FORCE (R Ajay Kumar) did not get a clear run due to a tightly packed field.

As Jockey P Kiran Rai, the declared rider of AURALIA, was certified medically unfit to ride after his fall in the First Race, permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Md Sajid Qureshi to substitute Jockey Arshad Alam, to ride his charge, in place of the declared rider.

Jockey H Rahul, the rider of LION, was reprimanded for shifting “in” and inconveniencing AURELIA (Arshad Alam), on his inside, which went onto MANDY (Ramandeep S Bal), on its inside, soon after jumping out of the Starting Gates.

It was observed during the Race that, NIKKA (H M Akshay) was inclined to run out, rounding the final bend and after entering the Straight.

Jockey H Rahul, the rider of LION, was reprimanded for dropping his hands before passing the Winning Post.

Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of AURELIA, reported that his mount was hanging “in' after entering the Straight. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination, but no abnormality was reported. However, Trainer Mr. Md Sajid Qureshi was informed to take appropriate corrective measures, before accepting with it again.
