Several times I had written in this forum that Horse racing in India need to be revived. Can't keep proceedings started in British Era. There s huge betting tajes place in Sports, ppls invest in Share market to make quick money. Similar line shd be adapted in racing also. Why don't try like IPL in racing ( I have a good proposal) also clubs shd work out on line betting and govt wud give permission considering revenue going to generate. Also punters pl stop blaming authorities,trainers,owners. They prepare the horses well but some time it reproduce in racing track some time not. It's not machine it's animal. Surely Merit horses wud not now down with out fail. Don't expect 5/6/7/8 yrs old horses win whenever u ppls make favourite. Just one reference yesterday Delhi 3rd race- 1-20 class horse number 6 was made favourite. It's rating is 1. Horse no.1 made second favourite which is rating at 17. Any knowledgeable punters wud not play horse no. 6. But I noticed many punters in Chennai played and burnt their fingers. One punter told me horse is owned by big owner and ridden by SG Prasad. Is this reason for betting? There wud be enough and valid reason for a horse winning or losing. Bookies also in all center twisting and diverting attention of punters not to play merited horse. They all businessmen they need to safe guard their money. So support Zavary Poonawalla to revive for good racing. On the part of Chairman he cud also invite suggestion from experienced and knowledgeable punters in this regard.

So kindly do not waste time  on GST  reduction.THis is not going to happen.

Another important feature which RWITC needs to improve is quality of cameras and live relay, unlike Singapore, US or any Europian country the Mumbai or any other Indian centre live telecast is pathetic. Please Mr.Poonawala hope you are listening. plz do something.

Reduced GST and online betting only will help indian racing.

Fair racing at RWITC and GST reduction would be the factors to attract public towards racing but small measures which are in control of RWITC should also be implemented like streaming of live races of all centres free of cost.  How much the clubs would be collecting on account of live streaming, may be very small percentage. The step of free live streaming by all centres would and should improve the footfalls at the clubs.  Likewise many other small steps could take this sport to a higher level.  Online betting also should be introduced alongwith novel features like totalizers of different kinds... inputs from all may be taken to improve the same.  Hope something would be done.  All the best

Currently more than 100 years old British system of racing practised in India. I feel new chairman should bring about changes in live telecast of race as far as possible in single frame with side view instead of front view. Secondly, each horse number should have diffent coloured saddle cloth with big font size as practised in North America. Thirdly atleast 1or 2 races should run on anti-clockwise either first two races or end two races. 

Mr Godzilla you are absolutely right. Fighting for a reduction in GST is all very well however if there is no attendance and no betting GST is meaningless. First fight corruption and race fixing. Hats off to you, sir!

First and foremost Mr Poonawala should ensure fair Racing at RWITC centres and the horses win on merit basis.  Then let him go after GST. Priorities should be attached.

Great people, giving a lot back to society. In Pune they have deployed latest vehicles for cleaning the roads. They have recently started repairing the roads as well. God bless them!
