Why Racing Will Not Resume In 2020

By Smart-still-poor-punter | 26-Apr-2020

Hi Friends,

Life seems to have gone out of gear with just one month of home-sitting in the aftermath of Covid-19, isn't it? For race-goers, it appears to be a different story with life turning a nightmare and sleep full of dreams where horses keep waiting for the gates to open.

By all accounts, it's getting more and more clear that any sporting activity that attracts a thick crowd of the one that you get to witness in race courses will not happen during the whole of 2020. With several state governments banning evening routine public gatherings till June 30, it's very unlikely that horse racing will be resumed during this year.

It's true that horse racing has been getting a good money to the government but that cannot be at the cost of human lives. We only know what kind of discipline people can adhere to inside the ring or whenever their horse wins or loses. Even the authorities will have to take a lenient view as otherwise they can't get the crowd they want and satisfy the bookies.

This also means that owners and trainers will encounter a very tough time and may have undergone unimaginable loss whenever racing resumes. it is likely to affect the quality of racing alarmingly and if at all racing is allowed to resume in 2021, many owners will have their own 'dirty' tactics unleashed on the hapless punters. Upsets will be the order of the day and the condition of punters can go only from bad to worse in such a situation.

Maybe a couple of 'Ayyarnets' and 'Chanakyas' will survive the onslaught because for them telling lies has become a regular habit and even if they bet after race time or on a horse for a third place in a six-horse field, they will get their returns. They alone will claim to winning from 40 to 60 per cent and even more. They will keep playing the same stable and even if the connections lose, these mavericks will keep minting money?

If you take into consideration the opinion of serious punters, who mean business, it's going to be terrible times ahead and it will therefore be worth to give up punting altogether and better focus investing your hard earned money on some other venture.

At a time when the quality of human life itself has been reduced to such low standards by the corona pandemic, it will be highly foolish to run behind horses anymore. Hope my advice is seen in the right perspective.

@SSPP, You are not a hater of races. You are a hater of punters. i.e. us. You wanted racing to stop, it has stopped.  Thought your contribution is zero.  When it has already stopped, why you want to tell us that it will not start in 2020?  What purpose does this opinion of yours serve??

PDS,

I had begun to wonder...Why is no one reacting to such insulting and foul language in this forum? It is not the first time and is frequently appearing here with disturbing regularity.. The same old issues to berate someone into submission.

In my earlier response, I had hinted about this ' virus' being more deadly than the one we are facing now.

Is such interaction the new norm?

Thank you PDS.

I fully agree with STPP and his views on the current situation and circumstances of the present racing and other issues regards presented by him , honestly speaking it's the facts and an equally shocked at personal pot shots been thrown at each other , Chanakya and Ayaranet are senior HT members just wondering why this character assassination or personal grudge , and why is our esteemed India racing administration encouraging this attitude by a few HT elite members  , is this a depression mode due to the corona virus or like feeling boredom at home , so it's like here's and opportunity , let's start some shadow boxing match , please calm down Gentlemen and let us pass this unfortunate time slowly but sure , Chankya I was always a keen admirer of your writing skills mostly regards racing matters and liked most of your postings , sometimes I wonder if you are the same Chankya in the those memorable days gone by , Ayarnet will always be one of my favourite HT member and the likes of Ragavn , GT, Ruchi , Cruise Bangalore , Sir Sagar and many more whom I temporarily forget due to this Corona effects , anyhow let's just wait and see for the best as many racing eager fans are getting very excited as to when the races are going to begin , in my opinion maybe late this year or early next year ,

Yet another great article by the learned SSPP backed  by the valuable inputs from various gentlemen in HT especially from  Mr. Raghavan and Mr. IIMBLUE.which are noteworthy.

The biggest thing in horse racing  is the challenge of doing the puzzle that is the Form.  Being able to find a winner doing the form and profit from it has always been racings biggest draw card. That thrill of  selecting a horse and seeing it storm home down the outside is very interesting.

Yet how do we invite youngsters to come to the race course to do the form and win. There is no certainty in racing. The answer is obvious. The sport is based on insider trading . It goes from bad to worse and still getting worst due to greed.

We have too much racing in this country. Horse racing often had a bad reputation years ago but now  it is nowhere near as bad.

Some issues over the years has damaged the racing completely and the following should be addressed immediately.

1. Getting better Stewards and Officials to check the irregularities.

2. Getting tough on bad rides as we have too many jockeys.

3. Gambling sports no monopolies.

4. One horse per trainer/Owner in each race.

5. Grading the fields better.

6. To stop betting race fixing go on.

7. Stop robbing the punters.

8. Sedating the best horse to loose and likewise medicating the dark  horse to win by enhancing its performance.

In majority of the races, horses are winning out of merit. Such results are only purchased at nourishing odds when the connections of best horses I.e. hot favourites are also party. Under the circumstances it is not easy to make money from horse racing.

The sport has  lost its  status as Game of skill  and turns out  to be  mere a guessing game on par with all other game of chances.

@ Ramesh

Instead of Covid, I think you have been bitten by 'Ayyarnet' virus otherwise how can you also start claiming 'we' and 'us' when there is hardly anyone behind you and your claims?

For the first time, a brainless punter in you has come to claim that racegoers get sugarcane to bite in the racecourse. Hahahaha.

I think by losing regularly your mind has lost total control and you are also slowly going out of shape like Ayyarnet and Chanakya, who of course is making money in racing even post-Covid because bookies are calling him at his house and offering bets for international races?

"We will stop eating when we we lose our last teeth?" What do you actually mean by this bullshit sentence? When I come up with advice, I make it very clear that it's for a selected section of punters, who belong to the economically weaker class and also those who keep losing.

If you wish to get hit in the crossfire, who can save you. Anyhow, what are you eating now man...cowdung?

Friends:

Even if te Racesarestarted it is worth taking risk. Because except a fewaffluent stable other other stable Horses could have been deprieved of proper usual nourishment and food plus normal training activities. So it is not good to rush for beeting but better to watch a few races and evluate the performance of Horses and then takea decision whether to bet or not.

A person who don't have teeth should not think about eating Sugarcane. If he can't eat it anymore, he should keep quite. He has no right to tell others to stop eating Sugarcane. Will stop eating when we lose our last teeth.

Empty vessels make more noise.

PDS,

So you are offended because I mentioned about the possible dressing down that you would have received if you had continued to cross examine Chanakya.  You did not continued the questioning logically.  And accepted Chanakya's reply line, hook and sinker.  O K.  It is between Chanakya and you.  No problem.  I will take back that "dressing down" comment.  Hope you are satisfied now.

But, I am interested in questioning you.  Do you believe that Chanakya and his four friends jointly staked 400/- and were rewarded with 1000/-.  Straight question.  No ifs and buts.  Do you believe that or do not believe that?  You can either reply to this question or ignore it.   I am least bothered.

I do not know what the middle class people were  betting during 1967.  But, I know bets in the range of  50/- & above were from elite punters!  Not from Chanakya & co who visited the race course casually that too because they could not get ticket for afternoon show of Sangam.  Forget about 400/-.   Even 40/- is doubtful.  (40/- means approximately 4 gms of gold.  The current value is more than 18000/-).

People who were betting 50/- during 1967 will be betting more than 25k per horse nowadays!  But, Chanakya's current betting is in range of 2000/-.  He has stated that he started betting since 1973 and his bets were 10s & 20s in three decades from 1973.  And he lost nearly 10 lakhs during that period!

Chanakya,

As far as my knowledge goes, you have not tipped for 12/3/2020 Mumbai races.  If you had tipped that in your blog, you should also brag about that in your own blog.  Not in this site.  Your arrogant talks does not scare me!

In any case, you had claimed 60+20 units of profit in the just concluded BNG, MUM and MYS (invitation races).  You give datewise breakup of winnings from 29/12/19 to 12/3/20.  I will demolish your claim/s.

I never  twist anybody's statement.  I speak what I desire to speak direct and straight forward.  And, I am not at all scared of your arrogant replies.  You had claimed place dividend on Malavika, which is a goddamn lie.  The odds for place which you claimed at 25% of win odds (0.70) is also goddamn lie only.   All your talks in this site are loaded with ego and superiority complex!

@SSPP,

It is a well known fact that betting in each and every race, even one horse per race, will only brings grief to the bettor.   Most seasoned punters in this forum will instantly agree with this UNIVERSAL truth.   They have, time and again, advocated that only those who show a sense of discipline by selecting a maximum of 2 races, will stand a chance of winning, although even this is not guaranteed.

Against this backdrop, there is a particular guy in this forum, who not only plays each and every race, not one horse but 2 horses and something 3 horses in each race (which may include a 50-paisa favourite, which ultimately wins atleast once in every 3 races).   The beauty of this guy is that he proclaims to win consistently, even by playing upto 3 horses in each race !!!   Can one beat such blatant lies ??  I invite seasoned punters in this forum to put their own personal views, whether this is possible at all ??

@ Ayyarnet : You say you are not bothered to lose any amount in racing because you will recover it one day. If you have not recovered the losses at this ripe age, then when? Can the middle-class punters who lose ever think of recovering? Quitting alone can save this vulnerable class as otherwise they are bound to perish sooner than later. Just think about their families, you selfish, old man. I believe that a person matures as he ages but you seem like falling into the gutter, why? I am quite convinced that you enter the racecourse these days by begging for making an entry and play 10 or 20 rupees in the tote and do all this shouting? Shame on you man. Better keep your mouth shut and be away if you don't like my posts. You are the kind of people who try to spoil the new generation by enticing them into betting because you want them also to face the same shabby fate as yours. An absolute saddist and an adamant lier. Give up your ego and try to be practical and useful to your family in some way as they must be cursing you everyday for roaming like a rogue in the racecourse day in and day out.

Friends:

One lady who could not dance properly found fault with not only the stage but the public and organiser of the event also stating Dancing is very very bad  and spoils the mind of the viewers etc., etc.,

I love Racing not only India but International too. Even if I lose also NO PROBLEM I can recover my loss soon or later. I never threw foolishly in Peti by Peti and then becoming a very good person preaching all others  to refrain from Races instead of guiding how to survive with minimum bet and at the same enjoy Racing as a sport.

No problem our Indian Authorities can start Racing whenever they can  and in the mean timeit will be nice  if they can make necessary arrangement to take care of the animals in the custody of the Race Clubs.

If there is no Racing here we are not going to suffer or starve.

Juyst because one foolish fellow lost heavily in Racing an industry can not be closed or wiped out  making so many people to lose their employment or living. In facr no one forces any one to go to Races. It is absolutely voluntary interest. If you want to make money you have to study or learn the trade you have to spend little time. Money will not be showered  upon you.

I am fed up with these type of arguements. I like Racing but NOT OBLIGATION or indispensable for me. I have explained many times about my strategies and how I play a few Races in any day. If you like it you can make an attempt other leave it. Please do not drag my name in this forum and abuse the feeedom of expression. I do not need any certificate from any one.

Best Regards to all

@SSPR and Raghavan,

I also read all your postings as there is very little to do these days for a retired old man. However, it may be my senior age group that I felt upset with the words'dressing down' by some one for me. Any way may be, the person did not mean it that way.

However, SSPR, I agree with your views about Horse Racing and I have mentioned it a number of times in my columns that only 5 percent Race goers  can make consistant money from Horse Racing and the rest will be losers ultimately. where as I have also mentioned it time and again that if it is kept as a hobby within ones permissable limits it is a thrilling and enjoyable hobby. Good luck to all. Take care. God bless you

Perhaps they  are  on  the  payroll  of  somebody!

I know  you  have  lost  heavily  and claimed to  have  stopped  punting  but your  friend  Raghvan is  still  contributing  a  part  of  his  pension (if  any?) happily  for  the  welfare  of  winners...

I'm finally  advising you  or  take  it  as  a warning , not  to  write  and  spread  lies  about  other without  factual  proof. For  your  information  I've  won more  than  Rs. 90,000 by  betting  on  Mumbai  races  alone  between  29/12/19  to  12/3/20. The  proof  is  in  the  selection  threads  of  this  forum  and  my  blog (for  12/3/20). When  I'm  a  winner and  given a  proof, how  can  you  lie  that  I am  not  a  winner...

@ PDS

I follow your posts very closely like many others and admire most of them. However, there's absolutely no need for you to feel offended when someone refers to your name to prove a point. And that's what precisely Mr Raghavan did when he wanted to expose certain bad elements who, in the name of racing, has been misguiding several racegoers here. I don't find anything wrong with that. In fact, that's how the Ayyarnets and Chanakyas happened to throw brickbats at me when I never went their way. But then, when someone tries to befool all others, it's very essential that you gather all the resources at your disposal to stop such malicious campaigners who are out to spoil the lives of many.

Also, there are no 'crude' comments against you as you have referred to? As Mr Raghavan has again rightly said, if only you had tried to stop Chanakya in his tracks, he would not have dared to come back with such cunning glorifications to gain support from some quarters to survive in this platform. Same is the case with Ayyarnet, who keeps on blabbering that he plays the same stable and makes profits regularly. Do you want me to keep quiet when he claims that he goes to the course daily with rs.10,000 and returns at least with rs.50,000.His averment that he is also into charity in a big way doesn't hold any water because those who help others never say it in the open.

You also say that "...especially when you don't even know me". Who knows who here? We all come here just to express our opinions, that's all. When one can't be prepared to look into the genuinity of what others say but, on the other hand, want their meaningless preaching alone to be listened, how that can be entertained? I have also not met anyone here but when you come and express your opinion here, others have every right to respond, isn't it?

See how Chanakya wanted to throw stones at my profession by addressing me as a 'failed journalist'. What this fellow knows about journalism? I had been a senior journalist in national media for 23 years, covering several important events at the national and international level. I came to cover horse racing as a part time activity, and that was how i turned a punter. I found it to be a slow poison and that it has the ability to destroy a whole family in no time. I came out of it in 2014, but continue to be online content editor for an international agency besides donning the role of a motivational trainer, touring all over India and abroad. I was also briefly news presenter for 'Radio Australia'. I continue to publish many of my articles and stories in leading national dailies and magazines on politics and science. I am also a human rights activist in Kerala for many years now. My wife is an HM in a government school in Kerala and we are leading a very happy life since I quit racing. I have three kids and own two houses. My immediate goal, therefore, is to build a third one to leave behind equal amount of property for my children when I disappear. I try to be pragmatic ever since I gave up punting.

I just thought I have a serious social responsibility in placing these facts before the middle class sections as I firmly believe racing is not their cup of tea. How can I be prevented from doing it? How nice IIMBLUE has said that if someone quits smoking, it doesn't mean he should not advocate the same to others.

All the articles that appear here in support of horse racing or claiming that one can make money here are bullshit. Even these writers know that they are only trying to hoodwink others. That's absolute nonsense.

I apologise to you if you consider that my remarks here have hurt you. Let's move ahead. As a person who has lot of experience in public life, let me tell you that horse racing cannot resume in 2020, no matter what others say. You must have read in newspapers that a corona-afflicted person, who played cards with his family members and neighbours, spread it to 24 others in Vijayawada. If that can happen in small-time gambling, imagine what would be the fate of punters if regular racing is allowed in near future? Every state government will also have their own reasons and interests to delay resumption of horse racing for a very, very long time to come. All of us are going to see it. Thank you

This will be a good opportunity to all race authority to come together and set up online betting. This will be the only option to survive the sports and they can hear up from July.

Bangalore and Mysore will be effected but  they can ran a few races on there land from July.

Turf Authority chairman is Ponawalla and see what he will do in this pendamic for horse racing. They are already working on Vaccine by coordinating with Oxford team for preparing Vaccine from Serium labs if the vaccine is success.

Let's hope for the best, we know everyone is impacted in this world due to Covid. Just be patient for another two months please.

Nothing on earth is permanent..whether MARS /SARS or CORONA..It’s a matter of time ,racing will revive markets will revive and since no body can predict the future only speculation and conjecture is the norm today..Even in a race of 3 horses one cannot predict the winner ..so how can one predict the day when races will restart..

Stay cool as today we are going thru a tunnel of darkness , a light.. a ray is awaiting  ahead of us..Stay positive

Again it’s all a matter of time

PDS,

I do not think there was anything crude or crass in my narration.  It was you who pointed out that Sangam was released during 1964, whereas Chanakya claimed that he viewed that movie during 1967!  I mentioned your  name because I felt it not proper to present that as my own finding.

If, however, you feel that there was something offensive about you in my writeup,  just mention those words/lines.  I will happily take it back.

That apart, Chanakya's claim of place dividend on Malavika (3rd out of 6) may be dead issue to him.  Not to me.

IIM Blue,

There are very few people who speak the truth.  And people who listen to such speakers is still less.

Considering the lock down been extended by 15 days every second forth night and no vaccination coming up till early 2021 racing is the last thing in the govt list to get a go ahead unless the club is in a green zone as area. Rwitc falling in maharasthra may not see live racing till this year end. Pune season is very doubtfull to start main reason been the Corona virus and monsoon to be the iceing on the the cake..which will definitely be a no no from the govt to encourage public gathering.  Secondly Pune race course also falls in an army area which makes it more difficult to get a go ahead in such curcumstances...The main issue is the performances of all rwitc horses are going to be highly effected and futher more when good days come and racing resumes  you can expect it to be disastrous and all going in owners favour.. For now more than when this racing starts I will only wish all of us (people) stay safe including the horses. Good days will come back soon. Also it's high time I fell now Poonawala should make Indian racing go online and meet international standards. Bez at the moment he is the only person who can switch the racing channel ON if he comes up with solution. You can keep the tote online and operate it like how the bookies do with giving your investment back plus the dividend less what ever tax is applied. Secondly clubs can start with online viewing of races for general public with daily charges or season wise subcrition so that punters can sit at home view the race and play online. Bookies can operate in the race course and can happliy catter to the owners, trainers and jockies betting requirements if they like and can excuse punters as we can follow social distancing and also play at the same time. The club will make more money than what they are doing now as more renew will be genrated for them.  Bookies will always operate for punters who want to play big over the phone under the table..but in case racing has to be done maintain social distacing this is the way out..and incase clubs opt to open the doors for all punters and racing patrons to enter than Good Bless the public bez the type of crowd which comes to race course is not at all hygenic. Also you need to see the statistics if top  jockies, horses, trainers can move about to other state clubs for specific races as inter state  is at hault for a few months.

@ SSPP,

Sorry, I differ.

Covid 2019, possibly may go just as it came, in 2-3 months, with a few cases spread in some areas. All industries, businesses, agriculture, service industries,  educational sector,, essential services, etc will have to slowly restart and gear up to move towards normalcy. ( Long way ahead.). The lockdown has surely kept the virus in check at the cost of the economy, as lives are important. Now, the economy has to be protected before it spirals down to depths unknown. The Government has advised the states to open up establishments and services outside of hotspots, which is a clear indication of their concern for the economy. And rightly so.

Similarly, sports activities (an important role in the economy ), will also follow, and unless really essential, will not be kept on hold longer than necessary, Racing, hopefully, will also follow..August can, therefore, be a realistic expectation. This is my view. Call me optimistic, if you will. That, I believe, most of us here are! Imagine being locked up, and nothing to look forward to; normalcy, in all aspects, and racing too?

P.S..Isn't the virus within more deadly than the virus without? Some of us need to do a " refresh" or shall I say, rebooting. Life would be easier!

Regards.

A failed  journalist tried  to  become  a  punter and  lost  everythibg  to  become  a ssp (still poor  punter) and  trying  to  become  smart  starts  writing in  detail  his  failures. The jealousy against  few  winners  so  overtakes  his  and  his  crony- self  professed  loser; that they can  not  read  the  writing  on  the  wall.

Many  writers,  including  me,  have  advised  many times  that  to  win  a  punter  must  improve  his  handicapping  amd  betting  strategy   to  make  money. Nobody  can  become  a  winner overnight ; hard  work, sweat  amd  grit only can  convert a  loser into  a  winner - nothibng  else.

ofcourse, cribbing and using  Malvika -a  dead non-issue will  always enable  them to  remain alive  and  force  them  to  pay regularly  their  due share  to the  winners who  use  brain, intelligence, logic  and sensible  approach  to  the  game...

Long  live  these  supporters  of  winners  because if  they  leave the  game  then  who  will pay to  the  winners - their  loss  is winners profit...

Some people are repeatedly advising SSPP that he should stop commenting on racing because he has quit racing.

This is a very strange sort of argument. It is akin to telling a person that --- " since you have quit smoking, donot talk about harmful effect of smoking "

Why smokers -- even passive smokers have right to talk about smoking,  because smoking does effect them.

In racing,  " passive smokers " are family members of race addicts. Have seen families getting destroyed due to follies of these "addicts"!

@smart

Only point that I don't agree with you is when you say that the government is getting good money from racing.

Before the advent of GST,  the Central Government did not get any part of betting tax. The Center received the Income Tax,  provided the Club made some profit. State Governments made their own decision as far as betting tax was concerned. It was the very progressive decision of Mr. Siddaramaih ( when he was finance minister)  to fix a minimum lump sum tax amount from tote betting that enabled BTC to reduce tote taxes on win, Shp and place at a level of 2.5% in the early years. This was the turning point in the history of tote betting.

Of course this golden goose was exploited to the fullest extent by the Club and BTC,  but that is another matter!

With GST of 28% , the tote betting came down drastically and even this amount had to be shared equally with Central Government. BTC ' s financial condition is not good and it has pending tax dues to the Government.

Contrary to belief, the Governments do not earn significant amount by way of racing income and they will not care about restarting racing. In fact,  it is the last item in their agenda.

SSPP:

First, let me correct you on one thing.  You have mentioned that the Government gets a good revenue if the race is permitted!  I have my own doubts.  The sales at BNG tote has gone rock bottom.  And the sales at tote at other centers hopelessly low.  Of course, at HRC, the jackpot pool still has substantial takers!

90% of punters bet at half tax!  They do not pay 10 paisa tax to the Government.  And the Government is not at all worried about the pittance of revenue it gets from race bets.

Now, your other point:

According to you, there are two persons who always win in race course.  I do not want to comment about the 2nd person.   According to me, the one and only individual who always wins is Chanakya.

So, you have highlighted his claim for dividend on place on Malavika that finishes 3rd in a 6 horse field!  And, about his lay bets after 5 pm when the concerned races were over by 2 pm!

There is one more lie that Chanakya peddled in recent days.  During 1967, he along with 4 friends desired to see the movie "Sangam" at theatre also named Sangam (Bangalore).  The afternoon show, I believe, was at 2.30pm.

Fortunately or unfortunately, they did not got ticket for afternoon show.  So, they purchased tickets for evening show and decided to visit racecourse to spend time till evening.

Inside the race course, they jointly bet Rs. 400/- on a horse.  And, needless to say it won.  Paid 1000/-.  (600 profit)!  I do not know what was the share of Chanakya in 400/-.  May be 80; may be 160.  He got his share, watched the movie "Sangam" during evening.

PDS pointed out that the film Sangam was released during 1964.  And wondered how Chanakya watched that movie full 3 years later!

Chanakya replied that during late 60s, it was only movies that people  were interested as they had no other form of entertainment.  PDS did not questioned further.  So, Chanakya praised him that he is among very few level headed persons in this forum.  For good measure, he said that persons like me only post sarcastic comments that are not helpful to any punter!  If PDS has expressed his disbelief, then Chanakya would have pounced on him.  Would have given him a dressing down!

Now, let us look at the economics of Chanakya's bets.  During 1967, the price of 10gms of gold (24 karats) was 102.50.  Today the same gold costs 45,290. .  If we agree that Chanakya's share in that 400 was 120, then his bets were 11.70 gms of gold.and returns 29.25 gms of gold!  That means his bets in the present value was 52,000 and returns were Rs, 1,32,400/=.

Golden Viper,

SSPP has lost.  He is fully satisfied that in this betting business there are no winners.  And nearly 98% agree with his assessment.

Call him pessimist!  No problem.

Sagar may be a person of positive mindset.  O K.

But, in this forum, some punters claim that they enter  the race course daily with 500/- and walk out with millions!  Such bravado will sound pathetically comic.

SSPP warns the punters about the in built risks in race betting.

If you are a winner, then highlight your winnings and question SSPP about his negative mindset.  Do not direct him to see/read what Sagar has stated!

@SSPP

I agree that it will be quite a while before racing starts.   This is one sport which attracts punters in clusters, be it in the bookies' ring or at the tote.   In both the places, discipline in following social and physical distancing will come at a premium.   Racecourses will therefore be huge breeding grounds for the pandemic to flourish.

Meanwhile, it is a fact that it is difficult, almost impossible, to make money in horse racing.   People who brag of continuous winnings are  cheating themselves and others with their imaginary stories of success.   Such people are compulsive liars and live in a make believe world.   Shame !

Mr SSPP, for someone who has taken sanyas from racing you are missing it more than the regular punters! Can only pray that God gives you strength to stop following it completely.

There you go  again Mr Negative . Please read Mr sagars article on the same subject .

I quote Dr Aggarwal the famous cardiac surgeon."" We have to live with  it lke any other epidemic''. Does not mean we carry on with lock downs for ever as our friend as stated.

Turf clubs will  have to abide with govt rules  rather  than  g o  out  of business. First the state govts have to ease rules on social gatherings than the ball with be in clubs court. Racing cannot go back to the old format ,this is some thing the clubs have to understand

I feel may be in sep or oct subject to these  conditions
