By S C Sharma | 20-Jun-2020Royal Ascot conducted flat horse racing first time without personal appearance of Queen and without spectators ( due to COVID pandemic ) behind closed doors with jockeys and trainers wearing face masks. The fifth and last meeting of 36 races to be held today with a eight race card with three group I races -- race no 4,5 and 6 and a class II race of 4400 mts distance to test the stamina of some good 4 yr old and upward horses. Weather forecast is dry day with occasional showers and going may be good or good to soft. On jockeys table J Crowley expected to receive the prize for maximum wins during these five meetings and on trainer side John Gosdon and A O'Brien closely locked and final result may tilt either way. Last season the jockey prize won by F Dettori with seven wins and trainer prize claimed by A O' Brien. So far this trainer claimed 10 times this prize in previous years. With good luck to all I place my choices for today's Royal Ascot races:
1) no 5 Blue Mist, no 10 Aplomb.
2) no 8 More Beautiful, no 1 Campanelle.
3) no 1 Admiral Nelson, no 12 Qadeer.
4) no 4 Quadrilateral, no 1 Alphine Star.
5) no 7 Wichita, no 2 Palace Pier.
6) no 5 Sceptical, no 2 Hello Youmzain.
7) no 9 Bielsa, no 20 Highland Dren.
8) no 9 Who DaresWins, no 8 The Grand Visir.
In today's competitive and exciting race card I give edge to 3-1 Admiral Nelson, 6-5 Sceptical and 8-1 Who Dares Wins for their good credentials and in all fairness expect to deliver. Wishing everyone enjoyable racing. Good day and good luck. God bless you all.
