Good luck SUDHEER,looks like you will clear the card....but be awry of MR KOOL,now days unlike previous years,front running horses don't have advantage.Earkier at Ooty a couple of season back,if horse hits front it used to Win.

But the trend has changed nowdays front runners get beat and late warmers win.

Also MR KOOL is a funny horse never runs two races alije.

R1- 9 Pink pearl or 4 Reign of terror for each way or only place check betting and play

R2- 8 Thrill of Power win vs 2 Wonder Blaze each way

R3-4 Ganton place and 1 Paparazzi each way (Angel heart is also good so skip if want to take chance then play above)

R4-3 Fine Future each way more on place 

R5- 6 Mr kool win 4 Eagle prince place

R6- 2 Leopard rock win vs 4 Historian each eay -very nice horse 

R7- 3 Sasakwa win vs 10 Renegade place 

R8- ( Arun Alagappan race to win )1 Berittenni vs 2 Carreno i like Beritteni bcoz of run benefit and good jockey it will surely place each way will be good and new runner Carreno will also try so each way on both the horse is good or else skip this race

Visiting hyderabad Race Course for the Ooty Derby.. So I have gone through the card, here are my picks for the day.. 

Race 1: Class 5 no whip race.. Looks like a weak field.. Beauregard looks to have the form with the front running effort last time, weak jockey and barrier 8 doesn't inspire any confidence though.. So going for Antigua who worked well a few days back with Ashad Asber and barrier 1..

Suggested bet: Antigua win

Race 2: Another weak race.. Thrill of power looks like the one to beat.. 

Suggested bet: Thrill of power win

Race 3: Angel heart on last start finishing effort looks poised now.. Streek won very well last time and has the positive shoe change.. But at level weights angel heart looks to be a better horse

Suggested bet: Angel heart win

Race 4: Both Santamarina star and admiral Shaw won well last time.. But we never know how strong is admiral shaws form.. Shez r star won easily after getting beaten by Santamarina star.. So on relative form santa marina star should have the edge.. 

Suggested bet: Santamarina star ew

Race 5: looks competetive on paper.. I really like Mr Kool in this one.. He's a front runner.. Best suited for the short straight in Ooty.. Wonderful efforts in the last couple of starts.. Only problem is he didn't have a start in this Ooty season.. Ayur shaktis work is impressive but I don't think anyone can catch Mr Kool if he is leading by a couple of lengths in the straight.. Good thing is no other natural leader in the field which will make it easier for Mr Kool to set his own pace and kick in the straight.. 

Suggested bet: Mr Kool win as days best bet

Race 6: Looks like a race with strong pace with historian new look and gods plan all going forward makes it a match race between leopard Rock and my opinion.. Both are very good horses.. The run of the race looks to be more suited to leopard Rock because its drawn inside of my opinion.. 1400m is ideal for leopard rock and receiving 4.5 kilos from my opinion.. Leopard Rock should canter home if yash don't go forward.. The only thing that can beat leopard Rock is the riding skills of yash narredu.. Should be a canter

Race 7: Looks like a clumsy affair tentative selection is Thunderclap

Suggested bet: Thunderclap win

Race 8: Looks like ibrahimovic is set to score after a flying third last start.. If Santamarina star performs well, then the form around ibrahimovic looks even better.. Deepesh narredus first starter looks a promising sort on paper too.. Check the paddock before making a decision.. 

Suggested bet: If forever looks ordinary in the paddock then ibrahimovic for win. Look at all horses before wagering in this race.. 

Not been following Ooty season regularly so please be cautious if you decide to follow my selections.. 

Will surely back Santamarina star, Mr Kool and Leopard rock..

@Shivakumar.    It was raining intermittently yesterday, today no rains but cloudy. Itseems it may get somewhat clear tomorrow. It seems the track was not affected much and false rails placed from 800 to 400 mtrs for tomorrow. All the best for Derby weekend.
