A filly, Rock Ing Star, who has already become talk of the town added yet another feather to her cap while annexing the Delhi Race Club Managing Committee Juvenile Sprinters Cup on Tuesday. By virtue of this victory, she remained unbeaten in six outings in as many starts. Trainers Roopendra Singh Shekhawat and Aleem Khan were the only professionals who shared a brace each. Yet another achievement before the conclusion of the season was never under scrutiny for Rock Ing Star. She always stood a tall among the companions and with that perfection, she was once again assigned to take them on within a short span of a week. Lighter by 3.5 kilos than the previous essay, the Greensmith and Scarborough daughter tried to adopt the similar start-to-finish tactic which enabled her the seven furlongs' Usha and Mehra Stud Million. However, Ritambhara stood like a wall in front her till the final furlong. For a moment, anxiety swam on the face of Rock Ing Star, when in spite of Rajinder's effort, she was unable to respond to his call. But suddenly, he decided to loosen the rein and that clicked while putting in a scintillating turn of foot to complete the six furlongs journey in a timing - 1m 11.65 seconds, generally a top-class contender clocks. Rajesh Sahgal and Sultan Singh, who missed the North India Derby plight with Stunning Rose, who ran good second to Tomsk, may eye the next season's classic events with the Aleem trainee Rock Ing Star. Barring 1, 100m, the filly has measured every distance with comfort in her six outings. Ritambhara, who has not been able to come out of the maiden status, ran creditable second. The filly by Hammerstein out of Sahij was consistent before fading out on the last two occasions. She has the speed which may help her to strip fitter sooner or later. Ouef Toba, who ran fourth to Turkish Doll in the Sports Lifestyle Million, managed to keep the late attempt of the latter at bay for the third spot. Turkish Doll, who had surprised the gathering with glittering turn of foot, looked coming with the same force from behind but only for the fourth place. Assertive, who came from hind group and finished fifth, would be in different shape in the next venture. Earlier, Aleem-saddled Godavari paved the way for her connections to keep their hope afloat for Rock Ing Star in the Juveniles Sprinters Cup. The mare, who emerged victorious previously over shorter trip at the mercy of Divine Heights (who collapsed after leading the front nearing the distance post), was in form of reversal. In the paddock there was no other horse who dared to match in fitness. Take A Chance, a youngster who has carved a niche among the matured horses, ran bravely to pip Shy Beauty for the runner-up berth in the 1,400m Aazaad Plate. The favourite Just Like Woman was at wrong foot. Mrs Anita Chauhan-owned and Roopendra Singh Shekhawat-trained horses broke the silence of many days and registered convincing victory in the Johnnie walker Plate and the lower division of Ashav Plate. Ashwa Pragya, who was knocking at the door, eventually dashed the hope of Shaitan en route to opener. Available at the nourishing odds, the filly started off at a slow pace but was forced to come within the striking position by the visitor Dashrath Singh. Once she gathered momentum, the favourite Shaitan had no other option to give up after dictating terms briefly. It was the third consecutive defeat for the loser being market fancied. Keep an eye on Nothing Impossible. Ashwa Panama lived up to the expectations of the connections while completing formality of victory in the class three event. Overcoming the early hiccup, apprentice Arun Kumar made no mistake in making the Mumbai-returned run freely in front of late galloper Doon Boy and the early leader Fearlessnegotiator. The gelding should complete an encore. Doon Boy, who is in good shape, bears another chance in this category. Northern Prince, who ran fourth, found the pace too hot for his strides. Fantasia Burnino succeeded in completing an encore in the senior division of the Ashav Plate. She was also superbly handled by the visiting Deepak Kamble Ashish. Supreme Success looked almost set to clinch the title till Fantasia Burino came from mid-bunch to streak ahead inside the distance. Oriental Speed, who has not been able to keep his name this season, raised some hope to make a date with the winning post before the end of the season. He ran on to be impressive close third. Lightning Bolt ended trainer Irfan Ali's winning drought by showing off a clean pair of heels in the U Dear Plate. The six-year-old gelding, who was making in here for the first time after coming down from Western India, should complete a double. Nymphetamine, who ran third behind Romario, has come to has come hands. Ashwa Paddma bears watching.
