L.V.R.Deshmukh: It’s a very open Derby. Super Duper is peaking at the right time. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

B.Prakash: Tiberious ran a poor race in the Colts’ but has been showing improvement thereafter. Whoever wins has to beat Lovely Kiss.

Y.S.Srinath: It’s an open race. I give my chap Pronto Pronto an edge.

Samar Singh: My filly Lovely Kiss is in great heart. She’s doing fine and I am very optimistic about the outcome.

Suraj Narredu: There will be no clear favourite in this edition. My filly Lovely Kiss is coming up well and she will run a great race. I feel Nearness of You and Speed Six will be the threat.

Pesi Shroff: Should be between Speed Six and Lovely Kiss. Outsider can be Star Marquess.

Zeyn Mirza: Looks to be an open race. We have Speed Six who should run a good race. African Queen has shown a lot of improvement and we have decided to run her too. She is a temperamental filly and I am discounting her Fillies’ run.

B.Puttanna: I cannot see beyond Lovely Kiss and Star Marquess.

S.Ganapathy: Everybody has to beat Speed Six.

R.R.Byramji: It’s a very open race. It could be between Star Marquess and Super Duper.

Prem Tharani: Nearness of You, Star Marquess and Tiberious should be there at the finish.

Sydney Moses: Star Marquess has a lot of substance in him. The wet underfoot conditions will be to his liking.

Imtiaz A Sait: I think the big field and the underfoot conditions will be the major factor in the race. Speed Six, Pronto Pronto and Lovely Kiss should be in the thick of it. I hope my boy makes it. Romantique is the dark horse.

Irfan Ghatala: I like my horse. He is going to run a great race. I am at the mercy of how the race is run.

Darius Byramji: It’s the most open derby in last ten years, Star Marquess and Lovely Kiss have an edge.

Arjun Mangalorkar : It is a open race, Speed Six is the choice.
