-

In their lead up race to the classic races, Master Harmonica and King Of Lords demolished the opposition in the upper and lower division of the Raj Niwas Plate respectively. Trainer Magan Singh and Jockey Pawan Sharma turned out to be the successful professionals by sharing a brace each.

Ishwar Singh Parmar-trained Master Harmonica, who had run second to Rock Solid in her last outing over seven furlongs, was settled in the third position behind the owner mate Don't Be Silly and Asma till the top of the home straight. The chestnut filly of Majestic Missile and Andillisa found an opportunity to put her best foot forward before entering into the last furlong of the 1,100m' trip. She will be one of the prime contenders for the Jagatjit Industries North India 1000 Guineas to be held soon. The top weighted Grey Dancer occupied the runner-up ahead of Don’t Be Silly.

Ever since King of Lords has been castrated during the summer break, his performance has improved leaps and bounds. Still, the connection has to work hard to correct his manner of jumping out. For the second consecutive time, the son of Rebuttal and Cool Camp took an erratic jump and was seen breaking out slowly. However, he recovered it quickly and running at a break neck speed, he caught up the front runner Mysterio before negotiating the curve. Pawan had to offer nothing but to enjoy an armchair ride.

Magan Singh-saddled gelding is now expected to take part in the North India 2000 Guineas, which will be held in December. Roaming Fame and Ashwa Panama finished second and third respectively.

Bharat T Singh's Black Virgin raised the curtain of the day's proceeding by bagging the senior division of the Tees Hazari Plate. The daughter of Inner City and Share Speed is at the peak of form and is likely to earn more laurels for the stable. Happygolucky, who warmed up late, was the next best ahead of Dream Debut and pacemaker, who is knocking at the door.

Zulfiqar Khan's Alabaster tasted his maiden win of the season in the junior division of the event. Invisible Force and Assertive, who ran fourth and fifth respectively, should soon, meet with success.

Ishwar Singh Parmar's trainee Master Belief failed to impress in the Shyamnath Marg Plate. He received a sever setback from Red Cat. Jockey Chhotu Singh Jodha always looked in hurry to guide the daughter of Juniper and Compassion to step into the leaders boot before turning into the home straight. The filly was unable to match the strides of Red Cat who easily sneaked through the rails before the distance post. Middle Man made its move at the eleventh hour to finish close third.

Rajinder's Gold Spark had it easy while emerging victorious in the first division of the First Speech Plate. He should complete an encore. Gold Mine, who ran second, should make amends. The second division of the race was at the mercy of Aleem-trained What A Sight. Master Prince, who was biding its time, stumbled and crashed to the ground at 200m. The fall affected the running of the other horses behind him as most of them had to shift the course to avoid accident. Later, Master Prince was put to sleep on the humanitarian grounds.
