Alberton Star and Napoleon warmed up late to finish in that order close behind Vijay Damini.

S.S.Faisal Hassan’s Green Gift (Kly Green-Rare Gift) made no mistake and got the better of Kohinoor Victory to lift the Deccan Bookmakers Trophy. Approaching the last 600 metres, Green Gift, who had improved position stealthily, moved into striking position, as the heads turned for the final run. Kohinoor Victory was the first to throw his hat on top of the straight but failed to hold on when Green Gift made her bid.

Ziglar (Bee’s Prospector-Dream Image) won the lower division, beating the favourite Friendly Equation on the post. Buck Knife and Forest Flame raced together till the last 200 metres from where Friendly Equation moved strongly to surge ahead and looked to wrap it up but Ziglar unleashed a fast run widest of all under Ajit Kumar and flashed on to put his nose in front at the wire.

Kohinoor Supreme (Greensmith-Oh So Quick) was ridden to a start to finish victory by P.S.Chouhan, to lift the higher division. Kohinoor Supreme dictated terms from the start and had a lead of about four lengths over the nearest rivals with 300 metres from home. Rich And Famous started to get closer towards the finish but found the winner too good and settled for the runner-up berth.

Red River Rebel and Victorous Sally finished second and third respectively, in a close finish. The favourite Onti Onti Onti finished a tame fourth. M.Sathyanarayana trained Disco Flash (Kly Green-Acaress) got up in the nick of time to beat the favourite Al Jabal in the shadow of the winning post. Al Jabal, a habitual front runner set the pace and brought the field into view on the home stretch. Chesapeake tried to make a race of it for a short distance on the straight and gave up finishing fifth, while Tiara and Chemeli filled the frame.

A.Ashaad Asbar rode Laxman Singh’s Stylish Chieftan (Imtiyaz-Millywakay) to victory in the higher division of the Democracy Plate. Sent into the race as the favourite, Stylish Chieftan braced the rear as Jaden Gil set the pace over seven furlongs trip. Asbar had worked his way to get his mount into striking position as they started to take the final turn and surged ahead to take charge inside the last two furlongs. Cannon Jet warmed up late to finish second.
