Three-year-old Tigerish turned out to be an impressive debutant, by raising a winning gallop in the Haryana Plate, the main event of the Delhi races on Tuesday. Interestingly, none of the professionals was able to score a double.

Prevailing foggy conditions and morning dew in the National capital made the horses take few seconds more than the usual time to complete the course. The horses - Ashwa Panama and Roaming Fame -, who had established a huge lead till the final furlong in their respective events, were seen huffing and huffing.

Rajinder-trained Tigerish had to face five youngsters over the six furlongs in the opening event of the day. The colt of Noverre and white Squall worked on quickly on the starter's call "go" but was forced to allow Ashwa Jugnoo to dictate terms till the top of the home straight.

Jockey Pawan soon brought the youngster into top gear to put his best foot forward. He should complete an encore. Another debutant Master Blast, who could not participate in the previous outing after being withdrawn, was fifth in the early stages before traveling third till the curve. He had to receive a check and had to run to be fourth til the final furlong. Irfan cleverly forced the son of Hymn and Afshaan to change the track to occupy the runner-up berth despite hanging-in badly. He should make amends. Yet another first timer Tiny Temper finished good third ahead of Ashwa Jugnoo.

Ishwar Singh Parmar-saddled Mysterio tasted his first win of the season by getting half-a-length better of Dolton Power in the upper division of the Digamist Plate. The jockey of the loser, who found the trip a little short, had objected to the winner for hampering his way before the red marker which was turned down. The market mover Global Wind once again flopped to be close third.

Miss Reobull, who was backed down heavily, planted in the gate and paved the way for the opening favourite Hot And Classic to complete a double in the lower division of the Digamist Plate. The daughter of Itaquere Power and Sterling Sensation should complete a hat-trick. Dancing Babe and Saira finished second and third respectively ahead of the slow galloper The Dukes, who should strike over the longer distance.

Shah Nawab's Trusted Friend caused an upset in the senior division of the saddler Plate. Revengeful Knight Wramed up late to pip Ashwa Panama for the second position. Jovial and Firecracker ran on to be late close fourth and fifth respectively. Gold Spark, who was the public fancied, followed the path of Miss Reobull and finshed sixth. The lower division of the plate was at the mercy of Subroos. The fancied courage Under Fire got into action late to finish second ahead of Amity, who is knocking at the door, and Roaming Fame.

K Ali Khan's charge King Cha Cha emerged victorious in the Santa Roseanna Plate which was the concluding event of the day. Fulminator, who ran second, should meet with success soon.
