KROA elections on Friday

The annual General Body Meeting of the Karnataka Racehorse Owners’ Association will be held at Hotel Atria in Bangalore on Friday at 7 p.m. Apart from the matters listed on the agenda, elections are to be held for various posts.
There is a contest for the President’s post between Dr.Vijay Mallya and Mr.S.Prakash. However, the latter has reportedly retired from the contest though the formalities of the elections remain. Mr.Ashok Raghavan has been elected Secretary un-opposed while Mr.Lakshminarayan is the Vice-President without contest. Dr.Kasiviswanathan and Mr.Shivshankar are in the fray for the Treasurer’s post.
There are 12 people contesting for seven vacancies for the Managing Committee.
Dr.Vijay Mallya, who has been named the Business Man of the Year by NDTV, will be away receiving the award and will miss the General Body Meeting.
