Originality won her third race in a row while annexing The Krishnaraja Trophy, the feature event in Saturday's race card at Bangalore. This three year old filly has been improving with each run, and her ability to quicken from the middle of a pack separates her from other top class sprinters at this centre.Trainer Ganapathy has been quick to realize her potential, and has campaigned her accordingly. Her manner and style of winning on Saturday indicate that Originality will be a prime contender in the Sprinter's Cup to be held over the Invitation weekend. In view of the effect of Equine Influenza on racing in Western India, it is reasonable to assume that racing over the big weekend in early March may be shifted to Bangalore. In case of such an eventuality, Originality will have the advantage of racing on her favourite track and will be difficult to beat in that race. Her opposition in today's race was quite mediocre , with In The Zone being her likely challenger. As such, she was a piping hot favourite to win this event. The other runners seemed to be out for an airing and were looking dull in the paddock. In The Zone and Dinesa brought the field into view, while Prakash was content to bide his time in fourth position. He released his grip on Originality and she cruised past the front runners. She opened up a fair gap before being eased up near the winning post. In The Zone ended a faraway second , only a nostril ahead of a late finishing Jersey Pride. Dinesa plodded on to be a poor fourth. Her opposition in today's race was quite mediocre , with In The Zone being her likely challenger. As such, she was a piping hot favourite to win this event.
