Master Blast blasted the heavy going turf with his amazing turn of foot, to bag the Sohna Stud Million, the main attraction of the Delhi races on Tuesday. Visiting jockey T S Jodha, who guided the fortunes of Master Blast, was the most successful professional by completing his first ever hat-trick at the National Capital race course. Trainer Ishwar Singh Parmar was the other pro to earn a double.

After a brief spell of rain on Monday, the winter fog that had disappeared in the first half of this month, returned to haunt the Delhites. Under the Cloudy and foggy weather, a stage was set for the second biggest event for the youngsters, after the Delhi Race Club Bookmakers Association Million.

Thirteen contenders broke out in a line, for the six furlongs ‘event. As expected, the favourite Real Stunner, who had met with interference in her last outing, adopted the start to finish tactics but it did not click, as the horses running close to her made her bow down (fourth) near the final furlong. Master Blast, who was seen improving his position from the early seventh to fifth till the top of the homestretch, utilised the widened gap through the rails to raise a winning gallop. The Ishwar Singh Parmar-trained colt of Hymn and Afshaan has the staying capability.

Tigerish, who had made an impressive debut by crushing Master Blast, warmed up late for the runner-up berth despite hanging-in, inside the final furlong. He should be able to prove his merit over up to mile. Ashaw Kundan, who ran fourth in his last outing, ran third after being tamed by Tigerish at the post. The gelding has attained his form. Slip Away, who ran zig-zag in the straight, ran on to be impressive fifth ahead of Master Bullet, who received severe interference from Slip Away and Ashwa Chetak at jump. Slip Away is knocking at the door. The run of Master Bullet is best ignored.

A card of seven races began with the upper division of the Rafah Plate, in which well supported Zoombastic emerged victorious. The favourite Zabardast just managed to pip Episode for the second position. The duo should meet with success soon. The lower division of the Plate saw Tez Raftar making every post a winning one, to come out of the maiden status. The Dukes and Fearlessnegotiator, who finished second and third respectively, have come to hand. Heavily backed Northern Surprise failed to live up to expectations finishing fifth behind Masquerate, who broke its blood vessels.

Ishwar Singh Parmar's Don't Be Silly scored emphatically in wire to wire attempt in the senior division of the Ontario Plate. The aged gelding should maintain his form. More or less in similar fashion, Magan Singh-saddled Dazzling Cracker, rose to occasion in the junior division of the plate. Revengeful Knight, who has the stamina to stay, finished second.

The son of Classic Tale and Whistling Sport, El Sharara, who is trained by K Ali Khan,  proved his mettle by thrashing the field over seven furlongs' Conquering Hero Plate. Mystic Miracle, who came from the hind group, was not much pressurised to occupy the next best slot behind the winner. Sparkling Gold, who made a re-gallop from the eight position, finished third ahead of the favourite Warrior Race, who made a slow beginning. The run of the latter is best forgotten.

Deepak Kalra's Hot And Classic extended her winning streak to three, while leaving the field to dance to her tune, in the concluding event of the day- Top Glad Plate. She should complete a quadruple.
