Master Belief powered away in a spectacular fashion, while annexing the Major Pradeep Kumar Mehra Memorial cup, which was earmarked for the top class runners and being the main event of the Delhi races on Tuesday. Sangeet Charan was the lone professional to saddle two winners.   
  
Master Belief broke sharply and settled in third behind Ode To Nature and Spot Hit till the top of the homestretch. Seeing Ode To Nature unable to maintain the lead, he began to pick up steam at the 300m pole and went after Spot Hit to dominate the last furlong. The son of Juniper and Compassion, who had defeated Subroos in the month of January, not only bettered his own record, but also recorded one of the fastest timings for the 1,100m by stopping the clock at 1m: 5.41seconds. He should earn more laurels.

Spot Hit should also be able to justify his ranking sooner or later. The remaining order of finish was filled by two late gallopers Moongate Man and Master Blaster, the owner-cum-stablemate to Master Belief, found the trip short after coming from behind. The latter should be noted over the mile.

Sangeet Charan-trained Empire Maker registered a stunning victory in the day's opener, the upper division of the Grey Gaston Plate. For his maiden success in the last two season, the rank outsider gelding made the heavily supported Green seals. The latter should make amends, whereas Master Dartagnan should return to the winning block in future.

Performing consistently for the last three outings bear fruit for Flight of Fancy in the lower division of the Grey Gaston Plate. The maiden success of the H Ali Khan's charge came under the guidance of apprentice jockey Hashim Ali Khan. Go with The Flow, who failed to maintain start-to-finish attempt, has come to hands. The third placed Fateh Maidan bears watching.

Midnight Special followed the suit of Flight of fancy in the China Visit (1,600m). She was kept in fifth position till the top of the final curve, where she angled out slightly and finished best of all by running down the favourite The Dukes and Steel Force.

Dazzle, who had received a severe setback at the hands of Narmada in the last outing, just tamed Master Faster in the Steinbeck Plate. The latter came from the seventh position to put in everything in the last stride but just missed with his closing surge. Ashwa Paylia, who was making her bid through the fence, stumbled and jockey Gajendra Singh Shekhawat fell down near the 350m marker.  

Charndrapal Singh's Ashwa Prabha proved to be too good in the last furlong of the Razeen Plate. Sitting well on the same handicap with which she had scored in the early part of the season, she handed a length defeat to the owner mate Jewel Star.
