La Lapitus edged out Gentleman's Deal at the dying moments of the Delhi Race Club Trophy, the feature of the day's card run over a mile and a half. With thirteen runners in fray, La Lapitus, who was advantageously placed in handicap over the favourite Gentleman's Deal, settled well in mid field while the stable mate Bernardo made everyone run behind him in a fast pace. Richard Smith began his move on Gentleman's Deal with a furlong left and passed the pace maker Bernardo. Apprentice Umesh had by then started to urge La Lapitus and she covered almost six lengths in the last 100 metres to snatch the verdict in her favour at the post. Bernardo finished on gamely in third.

Indian Storm, who was backed to the hilt, had to bite the dust in the lower division of the Apprentice Jockey A.Pramod Goud Memorial Cup. Canadian Girl led till 300 metres and packed up as Maximum City and Indian Storm started to accelerate. Suraj Narredu extracted that little extra from Maximum City to stay in front and win from Indian Storm. Scorcher was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before the race.

Shes Got the Look stunned the field when she fought out throughout the home stretch to win the higher division. Regents Park, who came along side, couldn't pass the leader and finished third as Celtic Shot closed up very late to finish second.

Shehzad Abbas's Sparks claimed the Prince Khartoum Trophy with authority. Zycon led briefly on the straight with Imran putting in an effort on Proviso on the far side. Jockey P.S.Chouhan deftly brought Sparks through the shortest way and the three year old gelding responded well to surge clear.

The opening race was the higher division of the Grace and Strength Plate and Satheesh's Play Zone won it comfortably. Racing second till the bend, Play Zone shot ahead entering the straight and drew away to register a five lengths win over Turning Point.

World Wide surprised everyone in the lower division winning from Recast, who came in late and fell short by half a length at the finish. Cannon Hawk took the third spot.

Green Haven, who had won her earlier three starts, was  posted as on money favourite in the Columbia Plate. Green Haven passed the front running Come Together but began to plod not able to raise a fluent gallop. Copertina in the meanwhile began to produce a good run but her efforts were overshadowed by Lady Escort, who flashed on the scene from out of the blue and snatched the race.

The lower division of the Charon Plate was won by Proud Accolade and the higher went in favour of Al Jadeed. Proud Accolade jumped out smartly and led briefly before Allukhas and Lenavi joined him near 800 metres and gave company till the bend. As the heads turned for home, Proud Accolade drew away from the field even as Prohibition moved to finish second. True Fashion was withdrawn near the starting gates.

Al Jadeed won impressively the higher division from the late finishing Heydan, who unsuccessfully lodged an objection for interference near the 300 metres.
