Sir Michael Stoute trained filly Integral took the centre stage in the G1 Qipco Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket with a straightforward win. The daughter of Dalakhani, a winner of the G2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last time on firm ground adapted to the adverse conditions with aplomb to win a first Group 1.

Integral moved towards the front early and raced on the haunches of the leader Sky Lantern till 3 furlongs out and when Oliver Peslier took Rizeena ahead to lead, Rayan Moore settled the 15-8 favourite well to be in chase. Integral flashed past Rizeena even before approaching the final furlong and the filly spared a clear two lengths at the finish. Peace Burg was third another three parts of a length behind.

“I took the view I’d keep it simple, as I was on the best horse in the race and it was always going to be a messy race,” commented jockey Ryal Moore.” She was in front earlier than she should have been, but that’s the way it worked out. She is a very lightly raced filly who is improving and hopefully she’ll continue to get better,” he added.
