However the authorities have made a forward move and a trial under floodlights should come as an exciting proposition as the current work-in-progress status has the racing fraternity buzzing.
It is learnt that the infrastructure is being put in place and Mahalaxmi should see these trails on 18th & 19th April 2015. As of now, the races under floodlights will be the shorter sprints. Once the feasibility and responses are docked, further progress ought to be steady.
Night racing certainly appears to be an optimistic option as for the city that never sleeps, this would come as a hot-spot for collective entertainment venue. Not only will it keep the regulars interested, with several value added options available, such as branded eaters and beverages and various entertainment through the evening, it could be a sought after location for all Mumbaikars, more so for the younger generation. With the attendance that can be potentially much higher, the sport will get a boost that is so much needed for it to thrive. Preparation are in full swing at this very moment and the RWITC will create another milestone when it achieves the universally appealing facet for the ever-ready citizens of the city an elite platform to indulge after dusk.
