Red Bolt was troublesome at the gates and was withdrawn.

Appachu and Rajesh Kumar teamed up again to give the ‘colours’ a double thrpugh Gunpowder in the next race, the Manasasarovara Plate. Gunpowder was found to be racing handily in about fifth as they made their way to the final 400 metres while Clever Trick showing up first and soon being overtaken by Star Mountain. Gunpowder weaved its way through horses and sneaked in with a strong gallop inside the last 100 metres and emerged clear. Exactly, who was a bit sluggish at start came in with a late burst to put its nose ahead of Star Mountain for the runner-up berth.

M Bobby schooled The Disciple (Eljohar-Coral Reef / Mukteshwar Stud) made a smashing debut appearance in the Gundulpet Plate, winning it in a smart timing which was fractionally off the course record. Racing in about sixth till entering the straight The Disciple was pulled out to be given a clear run and when asked for an effort quickened in a trice to emerge clear. Rare Emerald was second another four lengths away. Silver Prince and Beautiful Revenge finished third and fourth respectively.

Sofast (Phoenix Tower-Shiseido / Manjri Stud) produced a brilliant acceleration inside the last furlong to win the Ashwajaya Plate. The favourite Duma was planted at the gates and Keturah showed plenty of speed to hit the front followed by Class is Class, Castle King, Flash Drive Cinch and Sofast bracing the rear. Rounding the final bend Sofast began to improve from around the field. On the home stretch Keturah continued to kick on in front but was no match when Sofast picked up momentum under relentless riding by Arshad Alam. Cinch followed the winner to take the second place ahead of Class is Class. Keturah which ended up fourth was found to have returned lame on left fore.

A good touch on Mountain Glory (Alnasr Alwasheek-Foretell / Poonawalla Stud) by the connections of P C Tejaswi’s stables paid off easily in the opener of the day, the Nethravati Plate. Spirited betting saw Mountain Glory sent off as the favourite at 14-10. Taking a good start Mountain Glory was in the lead within the first 400 metres and calling the shots from thereon, the 7 year old stretched out well on the straight to win easily from Rosie’s Dream who was in chase all the way.

S.Santosh Rao trained Happiness (International-Claribel / Mebajeona Stud) wrapped up the last race of the day, the Davanagere Plate. Teri Adah set off on a start to finish bid with Smart Mistral and Getafix in close attendance. Happiness had settled down to race in fourth with the rest of the field behind. Teri Adah was still in control even as Getafix tried to get stronger but conceded the lead when Happiness came flying inside the final 100 metres. Abbas Dreams warmed up to take the third spot ahead of Getafix.
