Happy Guy, a winner in the lower class over a sprint two weeks ago received strong support at race time to share the favouritism with Movie Moghual. Apprentice N S Rathore had the colt racing second last among the ten contenders till the last 400 metres. Always Bullish who ran prominently all the way slipped in along the fence to take over the running going past the 300 metres board and was being challenged strongly by Carlton. Happy Guy found his way through the field and with a sizzling gallop joined the duo in front and managed to snatch the race by a neck close to the winning post. Carlton finished second while Always Bullish was third another half a length away.

Supreme Fairy (Multidimensional-Supreme Princess / Usha Stud), a classic hopeful as an youngster from L.V.R Deshmukh’s stables beat her rivals easily in the lower division. Supreme Fairy raced fourth till straightening for home while Winds And Waves led the field with Street Magic and Cornwallis in close attendance. With about 300 metres left Supreme Fairy shifted gears and shot to the front quickly. Sweet Candy ran on well towards the closing stages to take the runner-up berth even as the winner extended the margin. Wind And Waves and Palm Springs finished third and fourth respectively.

Deshmukh schooled Kolors (Phoenix Tower-Krasnya / Manjri Stud) scored an authoritative win in the K Mahipathi Rao Memorial Million, a seven furlongs terms race for 3 year old horses. Sent off at 10 - 6 ‘on’, the Manjri bred gelding set off to lead the small field of five runners and made every post a winning one. Vallee Secrete started to pick up speed inside the last furlong but that was just enough to beat Rock Baby Rock for the second place.

Laxman Singh trained Vijay Vidhata (Gaswar-Blue Sonata) carried the top weight to complete a hat-trick in the B Marideshwara Rao Memorial Cup. Vijay Vidhata racing a handy third till turning for home began to challenge Alameda on the straight and headed past with 300 metres left from the finish. Aventus started to make a strong bid, closing the gap at a fast pace but the winning post came to the rescue of Vijay Vidhata who had scrapped through by a short-head. Alameda came in third while the favourite Veloz was under pressure even before the race got to a boil and ended up fourth.

Visiting jockey Imran Chisty had an easy ride on M Srinivas Reddy trained O Ms Akhila (Sedgefield-Hidden Danger) in the Xisca Plate. The filly tracked the on-money favourite Vijay Vishw till the top of the home stretch and when asked to quicken, responded with ease to sail past. Delta Force finished third ahead of Dolce.

Trainer Sk Kassam saddled My Choice (Oath-Overdrive / AB Stud) to win the division I of the Sangareddy Plate, the opener of the day. Rocky Hill settled to lead the field quickly and brought them into the straight. Improving gradually from third position, My Choice unleashed a powerful gallop under apprentice Deepak Singh inside the last furlong and stretched out well to score by a good margin. Rocky Hill stayed on in second while Prideofmaduranagar took the third spot.

Kassam Junior did well to pick up a winner through Green Image (Sussex-Citi Star) in the concluding race of the day, the Vijayanagaram Plate. Sk Waseem Ahmed who has been licensed as a trainer from this season had opened his account through Green Image on the opening day and the 3 year old filly gave the young trainer his second as well.
