Jockey Trevor Patel who is having a dream run of late was a bundle of confidence while piloting a double at Mysore, both for trainer S.S.Attaollahi. Satellite and Acclaimed were the victors. Acclaimed (Burden of Proof-Alnasreya / Kunigal Stud) won the main event of the day, the H.H. Sri Krishnaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy – Gr.3, a terms race for horses 4 years old and over. Trevor had the 5 year old gelding tracking the favourite Royal Salute from the outside till the last 500 metres and surged ahead on entering the home stretch. Shivalik Star made a vain bid even as Royal Salute started to drop out of the fight and ultimately finished third. Alexandra Mills covered plenty of ground from the wide outside but failed to catch the winner by a neck. Royal Salute was found to have returned lame after the race.

Satellite (Burden of Proof-Set Alight / Kunigal Stud) won the lower division of the R R Komandur Memorial Trophy in an impressive fashion. Flying Tricolour set off to lead the field from the start and Satellite settled nicely in second. Approaching the last 400 metres Satellite forged ahead with ease and with jockey Trevor Patel just using his hands and heels extended the margin of victory to over four lengths. Super Success, Anfield and Flying Tricolour filled the judge’s frame in that order.

G Sandhu trained Ungoogleable (Noverre-Cazisa Star / Sohna Stud) won the Safi Darashah Memorial Trophy. Ungoogleable raced handily with the front bunch till turning for home with Clever Trick leading the pack. Approaching the last 300 metres Ungoogleable surged ahead with Precious Replica making a strong bid from the outside. Emperor Cruise was looking to slip in along the fence and Capri came in late with a flourish. Ungoogleable spared a neck to Capri at the wire. Emperor Cruise was third three parts of a length behind and Precious Replica dropped out to be fourth. The winner had angled out towards the closing stages and the rider of Precious Replica raised an objection citing interference against both the winner and the runner-up. The Stewards after reviewing the race overruled the objection.

Temperamental filly Magical Filly (Mathematecian-Magical Night / San Craintes Stud) sent in as the second favourite, kept the favourite Castle Key at bay to slam the division I of the R R Komandur Memorial Trophy. Rare And Elusive showed plenty of initial speed to charge to the lead followed by Arrete. Magical Light was third about three lengths behind with Castle Key racing fourth. On entering the straight Magical Light grabbed the lead from a weakening Rare And Elusive. Castle Key was quick to join the tussle from the outside. Magical Light started to drift out of the straight course inside the last furlong but kept kicking on to hold on to the lead. Castle Key was second while Silent Trust finished third many lengths away.

Aravind Ganapathy trained Viktor (Carnival Dancer-Classic Study / Dashmesh Stud) sprang a surprise in the Datta Jewellers Trophy. Tracking the leader till entering the straight, Viktor got to the front easily and kicked on with no serious challenge coming from behind. Always on Top held on to the second place from a fast finishing Active Grey.

Sharat Kumar trained Musical Treasure (Ikhtyar-Placid / Nanoli Stud) which had won only once in 26 starts came good in the Lt.Col. D K Mistry Memorial Plate, the first race of the day. Racing in about fourth or fifth till straightening for home, Musical Treasure came up with a good gallop in the centre of the track to take charge and won drawing away. Brown Panther finished second ahead of Amazing Striker.

Azhar Ali trained Alecia (Win Legend-Whispered Gossip / Ponderosa Stud prevailed in a cliff-hanger with Romeo in the Yelahanka Plate. Romeo was in front on entering the straight and jockey Suraj Narredu was in full flow. The bottom weighted Alecia joined the fight inside the last 250 metres and the two fought every inch of ground till the finish and the perseverance of young Arshad Alam paid off with Alecia getting its nose ahead by a short-head. German Guide was also in the hunt in the last furlong but was hanging out and finished third half a length behind. Mystic Music did well to be fourth another short-head away.

G Srinivas Babu trained Tempest (Noverre-Analonarose / Sohna Stud) justified the favouritism in the Jog Falls Plate, the concluding race of the day. Jockey Saddam Hussain had no difficulty in driving Tempest to the front inside the last 300 metres. Ireland improved along the rails to take the second spot ahead of Kaguya Himei.
