Donald Netto trained Parushram (Equitable-Knight Vision / A B Stud) snatched the race from Greek Star on the last stride by the proverbial whisker in the Chief Justice Trophy. As the field of fourteen were dispatched for the mile trip Movie Moghual was quick to rally from an outward draw to get to the front. Passing the half way stage Movie Moghual was still in the lead with Laurel Canyon racing close behind and Greek Star improving well to up with the leaders. The favourite Parushram was still racing in about eighth position. On entering the final straight Movie Moghual tried hard to keep the lead but Greek Star fought its way to grab it with 300 metres left from home. Parushram started to get up from the wide outside and with a tearing finish started to close up on Greek Star. The two went past the winning post locked together and the magic eye gave the verdict in favour of Parushram. Aventus beat Movie Moghual for the third position.

L.V, R Deshmukh schooled Victorindiafoxtrot (Rebuttal-Star Gold) unbeaten from two starts completed a hat-trick in the opener, the Medak Plate. Blue Eyed Babe set the tempo early followed by Columbus, Karromshade, Victorindiafoxtrot, Star Player and Vijay Vidyut. They almost raced in a single file in that order till turning for home. Columbus quickly went for it and took it up with Karromshade in hot chase. Jockey P.S.Chouhan started to ride out the favourite Victorindiafoxtrot and the bay colt responded readily to head past the fighting duo and completes his task. Karromshade finished second ahead of Columbus.

In the 1100 metres race for beginners, the Vegavathi Plate, S.S.Faisal Hassan’s chestnut gelding Exclusive Wind (Ravel-Calliope) pulled it off gallantly. Manoveg showed plenty of speed to get to the front and lead followed closely by Dragonstone. Exclusive Wind was racing a handy third behind them. Inside the last 300 metres Manoveg and Dragonstone started to fight it out and Exclusive Wind looked for a run between them. Not getting a clear opening between the horses jockey Akshay Kumar was quick to get Exclusive Wind rally along the rails and the youngster got stronger with every stride to settle the issue. Manoveg stayed on in second while Elegant Simplicity got the better of the favourite Dragonstone for the third place.

Anupam Sharma trained Sarvagnya (Juniper-Ahliyat) who had scored a hat-trick last winter and not won for almost eleven months since made it a start to finish affair in the Bhagmati Cup. Taking advantage of draw one, Sarvagnya readily took up the running. Leading by well over two lengths inside the last 200 metres the 6 year old kicked on with Fenway Court ending up second. Grand Canyon and Spirited finished third and fourth respectively.

Sk Waseem Ahmed’s Mount Titlis (Arabian Gulf-Zealous Cat) which had come out of its maiden ranks in its thirtieth start, scored an encore in the Soviet Star Plate. Taking a flying start from the outermost draw Mount Titlis took up the running early and led all the way.  Arudra was the only challenger who looked to be closing up inside the last 100 metres but Mount Titlis was safely home by a length. Amazing Power and Symbol Of Honour finished third and fourth respectively in a close finish.
