The 4 year old gelding raced a close third behind Triumphant and Iron Marshalltill the last 400 metres and was pulled out by Y.S.Srinath to make a bid. Murcilago forged ahead readily and was staving off the challenges of Campeon and Hallelujah when Reanna weaved through horses and flashed on to be locked together with Murcilago. Srinath’s forceful finish enabled Murcilago to nose out Reanna on the post. Campeon was third and Hallelujah finished fourth.

Manjri bred Constantine (Holy Roman Emperor-Coconut Squeak) bounced back to form in resounding fashion in the Wynad Plate, a six furlongs sprint for horses rated 80 and above. Inside the last furlong Constantine was well in control and Class Is Class mustered courage to only reduce the wide margin. Oceanic Storm finished third.

Momotaro was held back in mid-field by Trevor while Sky Jasmine set out on a start to finish bid. As they started to round the final bend Momotaro improved gradually to be on the haunches of Sky Jasmine before straightening up. Momotaro took charge nicely and stretched out easily to extend the margin of victory to 4 ½ lengths. Sky Jasmine held on to the second spot while Come On Gingin finished third.

The gap was diminishing fast and the two flashed past the winning post together. Zoe had managed to snatch the race from Impedimenta on the last stride. Friends Forever finished third.

Feroz M Khan’s Reckless (Declaration of war-Gaslight / Lingwood Stud) received strong support to be the favourite at 11-10 in the higher division. The 5 year old was quick to take the lead from the outside after jumping out of the gates and made every post a winning one. Lake Emerald and Oro Plata were in chase till the top of the straight and Teri Adah headed past them to be second. Crown Emperor was slowly away and missed many lengths at the start but was seen finishing on to take the third spot.

Trainer M.Bobby sent out a winner through Natural Nine (Epicentre-Seranona / Track Supreme Stud) in the division I of the Manasagangotri Plate. Outer Space was on a start to finish bid over the 1400 metres trip. Natural Nine started to move closer inside the last 300 metres and travelled the better with 100 metres left to pull it off by a neck finally. Shubhagya and Speed Queen finished third and fourth respectively.

Vikram Appachu trained For Your Eyes Only (Danehill Star-Hollywood Ending / Galloping Acres Stud) won the lower division, the opener of the day.
