M.Srinivas Reddy trained O Ms Akhila (Sedgefield-Hidden Danger / Jai Govind Stud) scored her second successive victory in the jockey Purtu Singh Parmar Memorial Cup but this time in a close finish. The filly along with Time For Fun were sent off almost as joint favourites for the seven furlongs race which was the main event of Monday’s card. Bharat King travelled in front from the start with Time To Climb in close attendance. On entering the straight the duo were joined by Time For Fun and O Ms Akhila who looked to be blocked for a clear run was pulled out to make a run. Time For Fun shot ahead and O Ms Akhila began to get closer although she started to veer out of the straight course. Apprentice Abhishek Pawar managed to get O Ms Akhila raise to the occasion and surged ahead by half a length close to the winning post. Time To Climb was third in front of Found Money. Arazan was a non-starter in the race.

Srinivas Reddy had in the earlier race led in Manoveg (Stern Opinion-Ashatamasha) in the Golden Dagger plate. The grey colt was given a confident ride by P.S.Chouhan to shed its maiden ranks in a facile manner. Disputing the lead with Miramar till rounding for home, Manoveg surged ahead and stretched out easily by over four lengths. Magical Skill and Ruby’s Gift fought on to finish second and third respectively. Avenida finished fourth.

Trainer K.Satheesh saddled a double through Love For The Game and Limitation. Love For The Game pulled off a stunning upset in the Osman Sagar Cup. The filly showed plenty of early speed to hit the front, opening a lead of nearly three lengths. Continuing to lead well Love For The Game drew clear on the straight and was eased up well before the winning post. Legend rallied on to take the second spot. Gangadhar and Yes Baby finished third and fourth respectively.

Limitation (Noverre-Hallow Ridge) won the division I of the Nirmal Plate in an impressive fashion. Racing fourth behind Sol Invictus, Ondha Ondha Ondha and City Of Dreams till turning for home Limitation made a run from the outside and galloped resolutely when asked to quicken by B.Dileep. Gunner warmed up late to beat City Of Dreams for the second place. Kiss N Chase was fourth.

M.Sathyanarayana trained City Of Wonders (Varenar-Passion) denied the favourite Aakash Vani a win in the Ming Dynasty Plate. Aakash Vani got to the front quickly at start and went on a start to finish bid. City Of Wonders chased the leader till the last 300 metres and moving steadily to bridge the gap surged ahead with a furlong left. Princess Rose finished third ahead of Dahlois.

L.D’Silva had a one – two in the Hi-Tech Plate. Fancied runner Fenway Court which had finished on board in its last six starts came good to pull it off from Grand Canyon. Travelling in about fifth position till the top of the straight Fenway Court was alighted to the task from the wide outside and the 5 year old responded well to gain advantage and stay ahead. The long time leader Flower of Timba finished third.

Laxman Singh trained Meheran (C P west-Killarnet) justified the short price in the opener, the Rainbows For Life Plate. The leads changed between Meheran and Junior in the first half of the 2200 metres race and thereafter it was Meheran who held sway till the winning post. Junior who was going over the longer trip for the first time did well to finish second. Chal Dhannu Chal was a faraway third.

P.S.Chouhan rode his second winner of the day through L.V.R.Deshmukh trained Cash For Rank (Varenar-Deeleecious) in the lower division of the Nirmal Plate. Silvassa ended up third ahead of Beau Sabreur.
