THE CHAMUNDI MILLION 2015

The Mysore Race Club’s latest initiative in offering a rich purse to a race for four years old and over and aptly named The Chamundi Million comes as a fresh and forward thinking idea towards serious racing business. The inaugural Chamundi Million, being eligible for outstation horses as well, has the potential to soar higher in the years to come. This race could be one of the landmark events run during the winter, matching the glory of the main Mysore season which is between August to October every year.
The Chamundi Million is named after the famous and highly revered Hill Goddess Chamundeshwari, one of the global tourist destinations in the royal city of palaces. The first running of the race has attracted ten runners for the 2000 m terms race to be run on Wednesday, 16th December 2015. With the popularity and success of ‘Million’ races across every racing center in the country, The Chamundi Million is certain to add to the flavor of the current season at Mysore.
