Mr.Ahmed Alam Khan & trainer Laxman Singh leading Vijay Vidhata (Kuldeep Singh Up), winner of The T.Chandrasekhar Reddy Memorial Cup

Laxman Singh trained Vijay Vidhata (Gaswar-Blue Sonata) made every post a winning one while scoring its sixth win on the trot in the T.Chandrasekhar Reddy Memorial Cup. Vijay Vidhata has an exceptional to go by. The son of Gaswar started off its career on a grand note winning the first three starts as a 3 year old. He then met one better in the next three starts and from there on he’s on a roll, winning six races in a row. Vijay Vidhata stormed ahead to the front as the five horses were dispatched for the 1200 metres sprint. Staying comfortably in front all the way, the 5 year old kicked on unchallenged under Kuldeep Singh. Happy Guy beat the rest to be second ahead of Magical Spell.

Trainer Laxman Singh had a profitable day leading in winners in the next two races. The Healer (Lord Shanakill-Brutta E Cattiva) turned out to be another champion from the stable. The 4 year old, a short priced favourite earned its fifth straight victory in the division I of the Gangotri Plate. Jockey Kuldeep Singh was astride the winner. After a good jump The Healer saw horses rushing for the lead and settled back to run in about sixth or seventh. On entering the straight Green Striker and Tinsel Town were battling out in front and The Healer after improving from behind came charging from the outside. The winner was sighted well before the winning post and Shivalik Bird sneaked in late to pip Tinsel Town for the second place.

Sacrifice (Glory Of Dancer-Tapioca) opened her account in the Starsky Plate. The filly ridden by S.S.Tanwar settled to chase the leader In Command. Moving improved to get alongside inside the last 200 metres. Symbol Of Pride also joined the duo and the three began to fight it out. Sacrifice poked through in the centre to spare a head to Symbol Of Pride. In Command was third another half a length away.

Trainer L.V.R.deshmukh and jockey P.S.Chouhan bagged the first two races of the day. Vijay Vaishnavee (Yeats-Bright Hope) completed a hat-trick in the opener of the day, The Telangana Cup. The filly settled in third close to the rails while Winjoy led the field followed by Numinous. Inside the last 300 metres Numinous surged ahead of Winjoy and Vijay Vaishnavee was alighted to the task from the outside. Inching closer with every stride with jockey P.S.Chouhan riding hard Vijay Vaishnavee just managed to nudge out Numinous by a head in the dying moments of the race.

It was a much easier win for Chouhan on Flower Of Timba (Emerald Cat-Cordon Rose) in the Dark Angel Plate. Symbol Of Honour was in the lead right from the start and Flower Of Timba was up in chase a little before turning for home. Symbol Of Honour enjoyed two lengths lead as they headed past the 200 metres board. Flower Of Timba took some time to pick up speed but once she did there was no stopping her and the 7 year old raced away by a length and three quarters. Yet Again was third and Green Olive fourth.

D.Netto trained Roi’s Cruise (Roi Maudit-Blues Clues) won the lower division of the Gangotri Plate. Shatakshi set off in the lead in her usual fashion and brought the field into view on the straight. Roi’s Cruise was tracking the leader till the last 300 metres and then surged ahead easily to take charge and win. Eternal Gift and Legend rallied on to finish second and third respectively.
