ABSOLUTE BRAVE WINS THE R.W.I.T.C.LTD.TROPHY

C.Girinath trained Absolute Brave (Glory Of Dancer-Excotic Moves / Nanoli Stud) stormed home in the R.W.I.T.C.Ltd., Trophy, a mile trip for horses rated 60 and above that featured Wednesday’s races at Mysore. The 7 year old gelding who had won on the opening day and then failing to make it to the frame in its next run had to survive an objection by the second placed Sofast.

Grand Success set off in front followed closely by Absolute Brave. Class Is Class t 400 metres raced in third followed by Sofast, Campeon and Miss International. Into the last 400 Absolute Brace forged ahead easily even as Sofast started to challenge from behind. Absolute Brave began to drift out of the straight course passing the 300 metres and Sofast decided to change course to the inside. Suraj Narredu the rider of Sofast lodged an objection against the winner after going down by three parts of a length and the stewards after reviewing the race decided to overrule the objection. Class Is Class finished third and Grand Success fourth.

Michael Eshwer trained Excelerate (Phoenix Tower-Roundtree / Manjri Stud) who was penalized a mighty 49 points for its maiden win in a terms race was sent off as the overwhelming favourite in the Kodlipet Plate. The gelding who was the youngest at 3 years among the dozen contenders justified the strong support but not before having to work for it. Rare Emerald was not the smartest out from the gates but rushed from the outside to get to the front. Young Gallant was in second and Excelerate settled well along the rails in third. On the home stretch Suraj started to ride out Excelerate and the youngster closed the gap and surged ahead inside the last 100 metres. Bestow and Siddhani filled the judge’s frame in that order.

 Trainer C.D.Monnappa sent out a popular double through Lorenzo in the opener and Gelignite in the concluding event. Lorenzo (Lucufer Sam-Couleur Rouge / Sans Craintes Stud) justified the short price in the the Kinski Plate, a seven furlongs race for maiden 3 . Stable companion Saigar set off in front to lead from the start. Lorenzo improved to be in chase on entering the straight and closed the gap nearing the furlong marker. Travelling better Lorenzo surged ahead within the final furlong and registered its maiden win. Saigar finished in second while Sardinia was a faraway third.

Gelignite (Mathematician-Hyacinth / Sans Craintes Stud) who had spent the summer at Ooty made every post a winning one in the Republican Plate. The 5 year old shot off to the lead as the gates opened and settled well in front. On entering the final straight Gelignite started to increase the lead and won effortlessly with the jockey looking back repeatedly. Port Blair rallied on t be second while fancied runner Bold Police warmed up late to finish third. Alecia and Color Me were permitted to be withdrawn before the race.

A quite touch on Santosh Rao trained Anonymous (Adler-Anonymity / Kunigal Stud) paid dividends in the Talakaveri Plate. Racing in about sixth till turning for home, Anonymous gradually improved position even as the top weighted Spinning Chakram went on a start to finish bid. Inside the last 300 metres Anonymous had moved to be in second behind Spinning Chakram and rallying strongly surged ahead to win comfortably. The favourite Malkia after bracing the rear bunch for most part of the race charged in to snatch the second place from Spinning Chakram. Ice Brown was a close third.

Z.Darashah trained Heidrun (Sussex-Zarzaitine / Badal Stud) just managed to beat Peppr by a wafer thin margin in the lower division of the Harangi Dam Plate. Peppr set out on a start to finish bid and jockey Mukesh Kumar continued to ride out on the straight. Heidrun running close to the rails all the way was pulled out on entering the straight and began to throw a challenge. Inching closer with every stride under strong riding by A.Imran Khan in the last 100 metres, Heidrun just managed to pip Peppr on the last stride. Zizzi finished third ahead of Rosie’s Dream.

Ranjeet Shinde trained Golden Cruise (Eljohar-Classic Cruise / Mukteshwar Stud) which had finished on board in its last three starts did well to win the higher division of the Harangi Dam Plate. Jockey S.John settled Golden Cruise well in second behind Sazae San early in the race. Golden Cruise started to move up inside the last 200 metres and forged ahead of Sazae San. Country’s Charm was in third all through the last 400 metres. Coffee Time finished fourth.
